SUGARPILL COSMETICS | LITTLE TWIN STARS COLLECTION

As soon as I saw this limited edition collection on Beauty Gurus' IG stories I set a memo on my phone with the exact details of the launch, because a makeup collection in collaboration with Sanrio is  not something you see everyday.
I follow Sugarpill Cosmetics on their social media platforms, but I've never tried anything from them, mainly because they are not available in Italy and customs is always a never ending process (I'm waiting for a Ktylie Cosmetics order since november).
So I was happy to learn that this collection was also available on Beautylish website that calculates duties and ships with an international tracked courier.
Also the fact that you could actually buy the PR package, the exact same box with the whole collection that all the beauty influencers got, was a huge plus (like I needed one!).
Let's dive in and see what this collection is all about.
The box ($ 79) with the entire limited edition Sugarpill x Little Twin Stars collection includes an eyeshadow palette, two liquid lipsticks and a makeup bag.

Quando ho visto questa collezione in edizione limitata girare sulle IG stories di tutte le Beauty Gurus americane ho immediatamente messo un promemoria sul telefono con la data e l'orario della vendita, perchè non si vede tutti i giorni una collaborazione makeup con personaggi della Sanrio.

Sugarpill Cosmetics è un brand che seguo sui social, ma di cui non ho mai provato nulla, principalmente perchè in Italia non è disponibile e i dazi doganali sono sempre un terno al lotto (tanto per dirvene una sto aspettando da ormai quattro mesi un pacco da Kylie Cosmetics).

Quindi sono stata davvero felice di scoprire che questa collezione sarebbe stata disponibile anche sul sito di Beautylish che calcola in anticipo le tasse e spedisce gratis con corriere tracciabile.

Il fatto che si potesse acquistare il PR Package, ossia la confezione con tutta la collezione esattamente identica a quella che viene spedita dal brand ai vari influencer, è stato un ulteriore punto a favore (come se ne avessi avuto bisogno!).

Ma andiamo a vedere di cosa si tratta.

La box ($ 79) con l'intera collezione in edizione limitata dedicata a Little Twin Stars comprende una palette di ombretti, due rossetti liquidi ed una trousse.

EYESHADOW PALETTE ($ 38)

This palette includes six large sized pan eyeshadows and a mirror.

The eyeshadows are Cloud Maker foiled light silvery blue, Star Ribbon matte aqua green, Twinkle Twinkle foiled warm gold, Dream Dust duochrome pink champagne,  Sky Candy frosted baby pink and Wish foiled copper.

All the eyeshadows' texture is really creamy and soft, they are pigmented and I like the fact that you can actually use some of them as highlighters and blushes.

The color selection is very interesting, I wouldn't use this palette alone though, because I need more matte transition and crease shades to complete the look, but I don't mind it at all.

I've watched a few unboxing and tutorials on YouTube and I really liked these two: Chavien and JkissaMakeup.

Also this gorgeous girl went really out there with her makeup look: Timaloveslemons.

Questa palette include sei ombretti dalle cialde piuttosto grandi ed uno specchio.

Nell'ordine abbiamo: Cloud Maker azzurro chiaro argentato metallico, Star Ribbon verde acqua opaco, Twinkle Twinkle oro caldo metallico, Dream Dust un rosa champagne duocrome, Sky Candy rosa baby frosted e per finire Wish bronzo metallico.

Tutti gli ombretti hanno una texture molto morbida e cremosa,  sono pigmentati e scriventi e alcuni si possono utilizzare come illuminanti e blush.

La gamma cromatica è decisamente particolare e non la ritengo una palette utilizzabile da sola, nel senso che ho sicuramente bisogno di altre tonalità (colori di transizione, colori più scuri per accentuare la piega dell'occhio) per creare un look completo, ma per me non è assolutamente un problema.

Ho cercato su YouTube alcuni tutorial per avere un po' di idee e devo dire che questi mi hanno veramente colpito di cui vi lascio i link: video di Chavien e video di JkissaMakeup. 

Anche questa bellissima ragazza ha creato un look veramente stravagante: Timaloveslemons.

LIQUID LIP COLOR in KIKI and LALA ($ 36)

The liquid lipsticks duo has the names of the Little Twin Stars characters, Kiki and Lala, and they also match their hair's colors.

Kiki is an aqua green with golden shimmers and Lala is a bubblegum pink.

They are both really pigmented, one coat is more than enough.

They look matte when you apply them, but once they set if you press your lips together golden glitters and sparkles start to appear, and the lipsticks become shiny and tridimensional.

They are really easy to apply, their texture is really creamy and lightweight and they dry pretty fast.

Once they set they don't move or budge, I even ate a pizza to test them properly, and I noticed some fading only in the inside of the lips, a part from that they stayed perfectly in place.

They have an intense creamsicle scent, not really my favorite, but luckily it gradually weakens.

I due rossetti liquidi hanno i nomi dei due personaggi Sanrio, Kiki e Lala, e rispecchiano il colore dei loro capelli.

Kiki è un verde acqua con riflessi dorati, mentre Lala è un bubblegum pink.

Sono entrambi molto pigmentati e coprenti già alla prima passata.

Entrambi i rossetti alla prima stesura risultano opachi, ma una volta asciutti e premendo insieme le labbra, compaiono riflessi e glitter dorati rendendo i rossetti sempre più luminosi e tridimensionali.

L'applicazione è piuttosto facile, i rossetti hanno una texture molto leggera e si asciugano molto in fretta.

Una volta asciutti non si muovono e durano parecchio, ho persino mangiato una pizza per vedere come si comportavano e hanno perso pigmentazione solo nella parte più interna delle labbra, restando per il resto praticamente intatti.

Hanno un intenso profumo di frutta (che poi ho scoperto essere di Creamsicle, dei gelati a base di crema e arancia) che non mi fa impazzire se devo essere onesta, ma dopo un po' per fortuna si attenua.

MAKEUP BAG

The makeup bag is the cutest thing ever, in its perfect Sanrio style.
It's roomy enough to contain the whole collection, but it would be handy even as a pencil case.
It's available only purchasing the whole collection box, the other products can be bought separately.

La trousse è semplicemente stupenda, rispecchia in pieno lo stile kawaii della Sanrio e può contenere facilmente sia la palette che i due rossetti liquidi, ma nulla vieta di usarla anche come astuccio visto che è comunque abbastanza capiente.

E' acquistabile esclusivamente insieme a tutta la collezione, mentre gli altri prodotti si possono comprare anche separatamente.

I'm in love with this collection, everything has great quality and I hope more brands will venture in kawaii collabs.

Questa collezione mi piace tantissimo, trovo che tutti i prodotti siano di ottima qualità e spero che più brand traggano ispirazione per le loro prossime eventuali collaborazioni.

KIKO | LIP ME LOTS COLLECTION

Happy Valentine's Day!
If you celebrate this day with your partner, with your friends and even if you don't celebrate it at all, there's nothing cuter than Valentine's Day themed makeup collections (or at least I think so!).
This year KIKO LIp Me Lots collection really caught my eye, it includes a blush, an highlighter, a kabuki brush, six matte lipsticks, an eyeliner and a makeup bag.
The packaging is really nice, it's black with neon pink and red lips all over it, the inside packaging it's all heart shaped.

Buon San Valentino!

Che lo festeggiate con il vostro partner, con gli amici o che non lo celebriate affatto, non c'è niente di più carino delle collezioni make up dedicate a questa festa (o almeno io la penso così!).

Tra le varie che sono uscite quest'anno, mi ha colpito quella di KIKO che trovo davvero deliziosa.

La collezione Lip Me Lots comprende: un lush, un illuminante, un pennello kabuki, sei rossetti opachi, un lip enhancer, un eyeliner ed una trousse.

Il packaging esterno è nero decorato da bocche neon rosa o rosse, mentre all'interno dei prodotti troviamo cuori ovunque.

LIP ME LOTS HIGHLIGHTER (€ 11,95)

This baked highlighter has a nice sweet vanilla scent and it's a pale shining gold.

The texture is very creamy, but once you apply it on your face, you can notice a lot of glitters that may draw attention to your skin texture.

So if you, just like me, are not blessed with the perfect skin, use primer and foundation first to get a smooth canvas before applying the highlighter.

Illuminante cotto profumato alla vaniglia color oro chiaro molto luminoso.

Ha una texture cremosa ed è molto pigmentato, una volta applicato sul viso si notano molti glitter dorati che evidenziano la grana della pelle, quindi per chi come me non ha una pelle perfetta, è meglio indossarlo dopo aver creato una base omogenea con primer e fondotinta.

LIP ME LOTS BLUSH (€ 11,95)

Baked blush with a sweet vanilla scent.

This pink shade once it gets into the light becomes really reflective, in fact it has a gold satin finish and, in my opinion, it can also work as an highlighter or as blush topper.

The texture is quite soft and the blush itself it's nicely pigmented, applying it with a brush gives it a more delicate and natural effect.

Since its satin finish it can easily highlight your skin blemishes, so even in this case it's better to use primer and foundation first.

The little mirror is very handy.

Blush cotto dal finish satinato profumato alla vaniglia. 

Il suo colore rosa esposto alla luce diventa estremamente luminoso e riflettente, tanto da poter essere utilizzato come illuminante. 

La texture è abbastanza morbida, dallo swatch risulta molto pigmentato, applicandolo con un pennello l'effetto rimane più delicato.

Essendo satinato tende comunque a sottolineare le imperfezioni della pelle, pertanto consiglio anche in questo caso di applicare prima primer e fondotinta per creare una base più omogenea che le renda meno percepibili.

Molto comodo anche qui lo specchietto.

LIP ME LOTS KABUKI BRUSH (€ 12,95)

This little heart shaped kabuki brush is so cute.

The withe bristles are really soft and diffuse the product seamlessly. 

Questo piccolo pennello kabuki a forma di cuore è carinissimo.

Le setole bianche sono molto morbide e riescono a diffondere il prodotto in maniera omogenea sul viso.

LIP ME LOTS LIPSTICK in n. 03 ALLURING MAUVE (€ 6,95)

KIKO keeps its Valentine's Day tradition with the heart shaped lipsticks.

From the six available lipsticks shades I got a dark mauve which I think is really beautiful.

The application is not the easiest since the bullet has this shape, but nothing that can't be fixed with a lip brush.

It has a matte finish, it's nicely pigmented and not overly drying.

KIKO continua la sua tradizione di san Valentino con i rossetti a forma di cuore.

Tra le sei tonalità di rossetti ho scelto un malva scuro davvero molto bello.

L'applicazione non è tra le più facili, ma asta utilizzare un pennello per labbra per un risultato più preciso.

E' un rossetto opaco, ha una buona coprenza e non risulta particolarmente secco.

YT COLLAB | DESY X KATY DOSE OF COLORS COLLECTION

Desi Perkins and Lustrelux are two very popular american youtubers, two beauty gurus with a total of over 4 millions subscribers.
A while ago they launched a collection in collaboration with Dose of Colors, an american brand which is known for their amazing liquid lipsticks.
The collection includes an eyeshadow quad, two highlighters, two liquid lipsticks, two classic lipsticks and a gloss.
They went sold out as soon as they launched, so when Dose of Colors announced a restock I decided to take that chance to trying this brand for the first time.

Desi Perkins e Lustrelux sono due youtuber americane molto conosciute, due beauty gurus con un totale di oltre 4 milioni di iscritti.

Qualche tempo fa sono uscite con una collezione in edizione limitata in collaborazione con Dose of Colors, brand americano noto soprattutto per i rossetti liquidi, considerati tra i migliori in assoluto.

La collezione comprende due illuminanti, una palette di ombretti, due rossetti liquidi, due rossetti classici ed un gloss.

Tutti i prodotti sono andati sold out in pochissimo tempo, così quando hanno annunciato il restock sul sito ho deciso di cogliere al volo 'occasione anche per provare questo brand per la prima volta.

FUEGO and MIRAME highlighters

These two highlighters seemed too dark for my fair complexion, Fuego is a luminous warm gold and Mirame is a metallic rose gold, once they are blended they work even for my pale skin.
I must say Fuego works better for me, but Mirame works amazingly also as a blush topper.
Texture wise, Mirame is the softer from the two, it literally feels like a cream, Fuego needs a little more work, you really have to coat the brush to achieve the same effect.
Overall two beautiful highlighters.

A prima vista questi due illuminanti mi sono sembrati un po' scuri per il mio incarnato (molto chiaro), Fuego è un oro caldo molto luminoso, mentre Mirame è un oro rosa metallico, ma una volta applicati devo dire che li trovo molto belli anche su di me.

Il colore che si addice di più al mio incarnato è Fuego, ma anche Mirame è molto particolare, posso usarlo anche come blush topper.

Tra i due devo dire che Mirame ha la texture più morbida, direi quasi burrosa, mentre per avere un risultato intenso con Fuego devo veramente caricare il pennello di prodotto.

Nel complesso comunque due illuminanti molto belli.

THE GIRLS eyeshadow palette

This eyeshadow palette includes four eyeshadows  whose names (Suz, Noli, Turbosan and Harpoon) are dedicated to Desi and Katy's (Lustrelux) dogs, that's why it's called the girls.
All the eyeshadows are glittery or metallic, the concept behind this palette is that pretty much everyone has his favorite matte colors to use, so these eyeshadows are meant to take the natural look to an other level.
In their presentation video, Desi and Katy also said that it's better to apply these eyeshadows with fingers instead of using brushes.
Yeah I know, I was iffy about it too, but when I started playing with them I saw the actual difference between the two applications.
Also Suz and Harpoon meant to be applied wet, otherwise they lack of pigment.
I swatched them without wetting them and that's why Suz and Harpoon look less vibrant.
I created some pretty good looks with this palette, but it's not a beginners palette at all.
In fact when I know I don't have enough  time for my makeup, I don't reach for this palette.

Questa palette contiene quattro ombretti i cui nomi (Suz, Noli, Turbosan e Harpoon) sono dedicati alle cagnoline di Desi e Katy (Lustrelux), ecco perchè si chiama The Girls.

Sono tutti ombretti dal finish metallico o glitterato, l'idea alla base di questa scelta è che bene o male tutti abbiamo i nostri ombretti opachi preferiti, quindi questa palette contiene solo colori particolari che servono a rendere un look speciale.
Desy e Katy nel video di presentazione di questa collezione hanno detto che il metodo migliore per applicare questi ombretti sono le dita, sì anche io ho storto un po' il naso, ma provandoli mi sono resa conto che è effettivamente così.
Inoltre due degli ombretti, Suz e Harpoon, vanno applicati bagnati per un risultato intenso, altrimenti risultano meno pigmentati.
Li ho swatchati senza bagnarli, quindi potete vedere in foto che     risaltano meno.
Sono ombretti da applicare con un po' di cura, sia per la loro texture molto particolare sia perchè vanno appunto applicati con le dita.
Sono riuscita a creare dei bellissimi look, ma diciamo che non sono gli ombretti più facili da usare, quindi se non ho molto tempo a disposizione non è questa la palette che vado ad utilizzare.

HOT FIRE and SAVAGE liquid lipsticks

Dose of Colors is known for amazing matte liquid lipsticks, they were actually one of the first brand to launch them and they are said to have amazing pigmentation and longevity.

These two are the shades created in collaboration with the two beauty gurus, Hot Fire is an extremely vibrant orangy red and Savage is dark almost black burgundy, perfect for a vampy look.

Hot Fire is my favorite, it has an incredible pay off, super pigmented from the first application.

Savage gave me some troubles while applying it, it turned out a little bit patchy and I had to do more layers to get a better result.

The packaging is really nice, but it doesn't let you see the lipstick's color so it's not very handy.

Overall I find this collection very interesting, it makes me want to try more Dose of Colors products for sure.

Dose of Colors è famosa principalmente per i rossetti liquidi opachi, tra i primi ad uscire sul mercato ormai anni fa, con una tenuta ed una coprenza fantastica.

Queste sono le due colorazioni create in collaborazione con le due beauty guru, Hot Fire un rosso arancione estremamente luminoso e vibrante e Savage un borgogna quasi nero per un intrigante vampy look.

Hot Fire è il mio preferito, ha un pay off incredibile, pigmentatissimo sin dalla prima passata.

Con Savage ho avuto qualche problema in più, il colore non risulta omogeneo ed è necessario stratificarlo per un miglior risultato.

Il packaging, inoltre, seppur bello ed in tema con l'intera collezione, non permette di vedere il colore del rossetto quindi risulta un po' scomodo.

Nel complesso una collezione molto particolare ed interessante, sicuramente mi ha fatto venire voglia di provare altri prodotti di Dose of Colors.

CLIOMAKEUP SHOP + HAUL AND REVIEW

Clio Zammatteo (aka Cliomakeup) is the most popular italian beauty guru on YouTube with over 1 million subscribers.
She recently created her own makeup line and during the month of December she managed to open a pop up store in Milan, and since I'm a true makeup addict I had to check it out.
The little shop was adorable, everything was really well thought, from the color palette, to the neon sign, there was even a ring light to take selfies, but the thing that impressed me the most was the mini lab where they were making lipsticks from scratch.
You were able to see these girls at work, mixing the colors and creating every shade of the Creamy Love line.

Per tutto il mese di dicembre Clio Zammatteo (aka Cliomakeup) ha aperto un pop up store a Milano vicino a Porta Ticinese, e come beauty addict che si rispetti non potevo non andare a dare un'occhiata.

Il negozio era davvero carinissimo, ogni aspetto curato nel dettaglio, dai colori delle pareti, all'insegna al neon, alla ring light per scattare selfie, ma sicuramente la cosa che mi ha colpito di più è stato vedere il processo di produzione dei rossetti.

All'interno del negozio, infatti, dietro una parete trasparente era possibile vedere alcune ragazze all'opera in un piccolo laboratorio mentre miscelavano i colori e creavano tutte le nuances dei Creamy Love.

The whole Creamy Love line was available to purchase (not the Liquid Love one) and there was also the latest product, Dark Love mascara.
Let's see what I've got.

Si potevano acquistare tutti i rossetti cremosi (non i Liquid Love) e l'ultima novità nata in casa Cliomakeup, il mascara Dark Love.

Ma passiamo ai miei acquisti.

From the Creamy Love (12,50 €) line I got:
BACIAMI STUPIDO, a vibrant fuchsia red with blue undertones;
MLBB, a staple in every makeup bag, the classic My lips but better lipstick, a rosy nude perfect for every occasion;
MIDNIGHT CALL, the darkest Creamy Love shade, an intense burgundy red for a vampy look.
All the lipsticks are very pigmented and comfortable on the lips.
The packaging is super cute, they have a nice sweet scent and they are also long lasting.
I also wanted to try the Dark Love mascara (14,50 €), since I read amazing reviews all over the internet.
I must say I don't have amazing eyelashes, so I don't expect miracles from any mascara, but I've tried so many I can definitively tell a good one from a useless one.
This formula is very creamy, so pay attention while applying it, because it transfers easily on the lid.
Anyhow it's not a wet formula and it dries quite fast without getting your eyelashes heavy and crusty. 
With the first coat I noticed that the wand reached every lash, and the second coat intensified the look.
I wore it for many hours and it didn't budge, I removed it easily with micellar water.
Overall I think it's a nice mascara.

Tra i rossetti Creamy Love (12,50 €) ho scelto:

BACIAMI STUPIDO, un rosso freddo intenso con una punta di fuchsia, 

MLBB, il classico che non può mai mancare perchè è un passepartout, il My lips but better è un nude rosato molto naturale adatto a qualsiasi occasione.

MIDNIGHT CALL, il più scuro dei Creamy Love, un rosso vinaccia perfetto per un vampy look.

Tutti i rossetti sono molto pigmentati e scriventi, confortevoli sulle labbra ed hanno una buona durata.
Il packaging è carinissimo e hanno un delicato profumo dolce.

Ho voluto provare anche il mascara Dark Love (14,50 €), perchè curiosando su internet ne avevo letto cose meravigliose.
Premetto che non ho delle ciglia pazzesche, purtroppo, quindi dai mascara in generale non mi aspetto niente di miracoloso, certo che però i mascara non sono tutti uguali e quindi ho voluto metterlo alla prova.
La formula è piuttosto cremosa, quindi va applicato con attenzione perchè si trasferisce facilmente sulla palpebra, tuttavia non è un mascara bagnato, si asciuga sulle ciglia senza seccarle eccessivamente.
Con la prima passata ho notato subito che lo scovolino era riuscito ad abbracciare tutte le ciglia ottenendo subito un effetto a ventaglio, con la seconda passata il risultato si è intensificato.
L'ho tenuto parecchie ore e non si è mosso, niente residui o sbavature, l'ho rimosso con acqua micellare senza problemi.

Mi sono trovata molto bene con questi prodotti e mi piacerebbe molto provare anche i rossetti Liquid Love, che sono appunto rossetti liquidi, ma i trucchi di Clio sono così popolari che sono sempre sold out sul sito!
