MAC | ROBERT LEE MORRIS COLLECTION

During cyber monday, even Mac Cosmetics Italy offered a 25% discount on everything (with the exception of the holiday collection) that I definitely couldn't miss.

Browsing MAC latest collections, I saw the one in collaboration with Robert Lee Morris, a famous jewel designer that combines contemporary fashion and sculpture, that really caught my eye for the peculiar packaging.

Most of the products sadly were already sold out, but I managed to buy a blush and a lipstick.

The blush is a pro longwear in the shade Rubharb, a coppery pink with a satin almost frosty finish, an unusual blush shade.

It's really pigmented and easy to blend, a little goes a long way.

The packaging is really different, this golden jewel case looks like a steampunk accessory, really beautiful.

The lipstick is a Mattene lipstick in the shade Pomegranade, a creamy berry red with a satin finish, very pigmented, longlasting and gorgeous on the lips, but a little drying after a few hours wear.

I really like this collection and I wish I could get more pieces.

Durante il cyber monday MAC cosmetics offriva il 25% su tutto (ad eccezione della holiday collection), evento più unico che raro che ovviamente non mi sono lasciata scappare.

Avevo visto tra le novità la collezione in collaborazione con Robert Lee Morris, famoso designer di gioielli che combina la moda contemporanea alla passione per la scultura, che mi aveva colpito subito per il packaging particolare.

La maggior parte dei prodotti erano già sold out purtroppo, ma sono riuscita ad acquistare un blush e un rossetto.

Il blush è un pro longwear nella tonalità Rubharb, un rosa bronzo dal finish satinato e luminoso, un colore davvero interessante e diverso dal solito.

E' super pigmentato e facile da sfumare, ne basta davvero poco per ottenere un effetto intenso.

Un packaging così non l'avevo mai visto, uno scrigno dorato che potrebbe appartenere ad un amante del genere steampunk, davvero molto bello.

Il rossetto è un Mattene Lipstick nella tonalità Pomegranade, un rosso lampone freddo dal finish satinato e dalla consistenza cremosa, super pigmentato, bellissimo sulle labbra, con un'ottima durata, ma che rende lievemente secche le labbra dopo alcune ore dall'applicazione.

Una collezione che mi è piaciuta moltissimo e di cui avrei voluto acquistare qualche altro pezzo.

SEPHORA PRESS DAY | STYLPRO

I guess the fact that the most boring thing about makeup is cleaning brushes is not a secret for anyone.

I must confess I'm not super diligent when it comes to clean my brushes, mainly because I usually don't have time to do it, so that's why this product really caught my eye at the Sephora Press Day.

stylPro was created by Tom Pellereau, The Apprentice 2011 winner, to make the cleaning process easier and quicker for everybody, mua and makeup lovers.

I had the chance to see how stylPro works and Tom was actually at the press day to show it.

It was so fascinating that I kept watching for a few times and I found it really interesting.

Immagino non sia un segreto che per molti, me inclusa, la pulizia dei pennelli sia la parte più noiosa del makeup.

Confesso di non pulire i miei pennelli così frequentemente come vorrei, spesso per mancanza di tempo, quindi quando ho visto questo prodotto tra gli stand presenti al Sephora Press Day non potevo non dare un'occhiata.

stylPro è stato ideato da Tom Pellereau, vincitore della trasmissione The Apprentice della BBC nel 2011, proprio per rendere più veloce e semplice la pulizia dei pennelli.

Ho avuto l'occasione di vedere stylPro all'opera ed è stato proprio Tom a darmi una dimostrazione pratica e devo ammettere che sono rimasta veramente colpita.

stylPro is a battery operated device that you can connect to one of the eight brush collars (depending on the brush size) included in the set.

You pour some water and some cleanser (it could be stylPro or any kind of cleanser) in the bowl and then you put the brush attached to the stylPro in the liquid mix and you press the button to make it spin.

The spinning action makes all the bristles to open so that the brush can be properly cleaned.

To rinse the brush you just keep spinning it for a few more second without touching the liquid.

Tom used a powder brush (for blush, bronzer, mineral foundation) and a foundation brush, he loaded both brushes with a ton of makeup before using the stylPro.

The whole cleaning process lasted a few minutes.

He used the same water and cleanser mix since it's reusable.

I could also touch the brushes after the cleaning process, and I really wanted to because my biggest concern was to find out if that could damage the brushes, and they both felt dry and soft.

It was a really interesting demonstration.

stylPro si compone di un impugnatura motorizzata alla quale collegare uno degli otto attacchi (in base alla larghezza del pennello) disponibili nella confezione.

All'interno dell'ampolla rotonda basta versare un po' d'acqua e del detergente, ne esiste uno specifico stylPro, ma può essere utilizzato qualsiasi detergente.

Quindi si inserisce il pennello così montano all'interno dell'ampolla in modo che venga a contatto con acqua e detergente, e si preme il pulsante per avviare il piccolo motore presente nell'impugnatura.

Le setole per la forza centrifuga si aprono permettendo così una detersione profonda.

Per asciugare il pennello basta farlo girare per qualche secondo all'interno dell'ampolla senza metterlo a contatto del mix di acqua e detergente.

Tom ha utilizzato due pennelli, uno per l'applicazione di polveri (bronzer, blush, fondotinta minerali) con setole sintetiche e un pennello a lingua di gatto in setole naturali per l'applicazione del fondotinta.

Li ha entrambi saturati di prodotti prima di procedere alla pulizia che è durata qualche minuto in tutto.

Ha utilizzato sempre lo stesso liquido, in quanto è possibile riutilizzarlo più volte.

Ho avuto anche modo di toccare le setole del pennello appena pulito, perchè onestamente volevo vedere se il pennello potesse venire danneggiato in qualche modo, ed entrambi i pennelli erano asciutti e morbidi al tatto.

E' stata una dimostrazione indubbiamente interessante!

One of the new brands launching soon on Sephora Italia is Eyeko, a british brand that I'm sure most of you know already, famous for the squeeze tubes packaging mascaras that allows you to use all the product with zero waste.
Eyeko, brand born in London in 1999, focus on creating easy to use products with amazing performances, combining ergonomic wands and super rich formulas to treat the eyelashes at every application.
All the products are made with korean technologies (korean beauty industry is very well known for mascaras) and also 100% cruelty free.

Uno dei brand in arrivo da Sephora è Eyeko, un marchio che sicuramente molti di voi conoscono già, famoso soprattutto per i mascara dal packaging a tubetto che permette di non sprecarne nemmeno un grammo di prodotto.

Eyeko, nato a Londra nel 1999, si concentra sul creare prodotti facili da usare e dalle ottime performance, combinando applicatori ergonomici e formule ricche di vitamine per trattare le ciglia ad ogni applicazione.
Si tratta di prodotti creati utilizzando la tecnologia coreana (famosa tra l'altro proprio per i mascara) e 100% cruelty free.

BLACK MAGIC MASCARA

This mascara's wand is curved to allow you to reach every lash, even the smallest ones, to achieve the best curly lashes.

This formula is enriched with shea butter and keratin, and it has an intense black color payoff.
It's also water resistant and it doesn't smudge.

Uno scovolino ricurvo per raggiungere tutte le ciglia, anche le più piccole, per ottenere una piega perfetta, una formula ricca di burro di karité e cheratina, un colore nero intenso resistente all'acqua che non sbava e non cola.

Questi sono i punti di forza di questo mascara senza parabeni.

SPOR WATERPROOF MASCARA

This mascara's formula it's waterproof, it promises to not smudge even after hours in the gym.
Inside it has fibers for extra volume lashes.
Even this wand is shaped to achieve the best result.

Una formula waterproof che promette di non colare nemmeno dopo ore di palestra, con all'interno fibre per regalare ancora più volume.

Anche questo scovolino ha un'incurvatura particolare per un risultato davvero intenso.

LASH ALERT MASCARA

This mascara is a real treatment for damaged lashes, its formula is super rich, it contains shea butter, caffein, arginine, biptin, it nourishes, repairs and thicken the lashes, with double the fiber for extra volume effect.

Questo mascara è un vero e proprio trattamento per le ciglia danneggiate, la sua formula ricca di burro di karité, caffeina, arginina e biotina, riesce a nutrire, rinvigorire e ispessire le ciglia, con un concentrato di fibre per un effetto ciglia finte.

SEPHORA PRESS DAY HOLIDAY COLLECTIONS

At the beginning of october I was invited to attend the Sephora Italia Press Day in Milan and it was truly exciting!

Teatro Vetra, the location, was transformed in a cozy fun fair, with a carousel, sweets and cotton candy.

I had the opportunity to see a preview of all the new holidays collections and even all the new brands that will hit Sephora Italia's stores in the next few months.

Since there is a lot of stuff to cover, I will dedicate a post for each brand.

Sadly I haven't got samples to try so for most of the products will be my first impression at the press day and some useful info.

I also purchased myself a few things and I will write an in depth review about them.

I will also review the products that some super kind brand sent me after reaching out to me after the press day.

All'inizio di ottobre sono stata invitata al Sephora Press Day a Milano ed è stato davvero emozionante.

Il Teatro Vetra era stato trasformato in un piccolo Luna Park con tanto di giostra al centro, dolcetti e zucchero filato.

Ho avuto modo di conoscere in anteprima le collezioni ideate dai vari brand per le vacanze di Natale che si stanno avvicinando e anche tutti i nuovi marchi che arriveranno da Sephora nei prossimi mesi.

Visto che le novità sono davvero tante ho pensato di dedicare un post ad ogni brand, purtroppo non ho ricevuto campioni da provare quindi della maggior parte dei marchi potrò solo darvi la mia prima impressione, di altri ho acquistato già qualcosina e di quelli vi farò la review completa,così come di quei brand così carini da contattarmi ed inviarmi alcune cose da testare.

MAC | NICKI MINAJ Nude Lipsticks Collection

A true makeup addict could never have enough nude lipsticks, that's what Nicki Minaj should have thought while creating her line of products with MAC.
This collection includes 20 lipsticks ($ 17,50, some are limited edition some are permanent) and 6 glosses ($ 17) in every possible nude shade you can think of, from the palest ones to the deepest and rich ones.
Nicki Minaj actually curated only two of the lipsticks and you can easily recognize them from the packaging that matches the lipstick bullet color.

Un vero makeup addict non ha mai abbastanza rossetti nude, deve aver pensato questo Nicki Minaj quando ha deciso di collaborare con MAC per la sua linea di rossetti e gloss.

La collezione è infatti composta da 20 rossetti (19,50 €, alcuni in edizione limitata ed alcuni della linea permanente) e 6 gloss (14,50 €) in tutte le varianti nude possibili, dalle più chiare e lattiginose a quelle più scure ed intense.
Nicki Minaj ha effettivamente collaborato alla creazione di solo due rossetti che compongono la linea, si distinguono per il packaging colorato che riprende la nuance del rossetto.

From this collection I picked up the two Nicki Minaj lipsticks and two from the "normal" line.

Da questa collezione ho acquistato i due rossetti ideati proprio dalla cantante e altri due dalla linea diciamo "normale".

Nicki Minaj lipsticks have the MAC amplified finish and they are called:

- Pinkprint (limited edition), a baby pink, creamy and opaque which didn't actually perform so good on my lips. After I applied it I noticed right away that it settled on my lips lines and emphasized them. I think it's better to use combined with a primer and a lip liner.

- Nicki's Nude (limited edition), a peachy pink with warm undertones, it's bright, creamy and opaque, easy to apply and very comfortable on the lips, my favorite of the two.

I rossetti di Nicki Minaj sono due amplified e si chiamano:

- Pinkprint (limited edition), un rosa baby coprente e cremoso, che però mi ha lasciato un po' perplessa dopo l'applicazione.

Enfatizza infatti tutte le linee e le screpolature delle labbra, quindi è meglio applicarlo con un primer labbra ed una matita. 

- Nicki's Nude (limited edition), un rosa pescato caldo luminoso, pigmentato e coprente, facile da applicare e molto morbido, sicuramente il mio preferito tra i due.

The other two lipstick I purchased are:
- Baby's all right (limited edition), a rosy mauve with cool purple undertones, and a hint of grey. It has a matte finish, it's very pigmented and opaque.
- MMMMM (limited edition),  still a mauve but with warm undertones and a satin finish, even this one it's very pigmented and opaque.

Gli altri due rossetti che ho acquistato sono:
- Baby's all right (limited edition), un malva rosato dal sottotono freddo, tendente al viola con una punta di grigio. Ha un finish opaco, è coprente e pigmentato.
- MMMMM (limited edition), un malva rosato dal sottotono caldo e dal finish satinato, anche questo coprente e pigmentato.

You simply can't go wrong with MAC lipsticks, with that yummy vanilla scent, the amazing shades and finishes variety and the pigmentation.
