YT COLLAB | BECCA x JACLYN HILL CHAMPAGNE COLLECTION FACE PALETTE

New blog post for the YT Collab serie, where I review products created by famous cosmetics brands and beauty gurus on You Tube.
Becca is still not available in Italy, but this Face Glow Palette was launched in some Sephora's store and I was able to get it just by chance!
While here in Italy we still hope to find all Becca's range on our Sephora store shelves, it's time to take a closer look on this collaboration.
With almost 4 millions subscribers, Jaclyn Hill is one of the most popular and influent beauty gurus on You Tube.
She started collaborating with Becca a few years ago, when they released together Champagne Pop, a gorgeous rose gold highlighter that became a huge international success.
Then Becca released an eyeshadow palette, part of the collaboration collection, that sadly didn't match clients/fans expectations and even worst the quality didn't match Becca's high production standards either, so the eyeshadow palette was pulled out from sales.
Last but not least the limited edition Glow Face Palette ($ 52).
Let's start with the packaging, which is gorgeous white and gold and feels very luxurious and elegant.
Inside the palette we have, beside the huge mirror, two highlighters and tree mineral blushes.
The two highlighters are the famous Champagne Pop, very pigmented rose gold with warm undertones, and Prosecco Pop, light gold with warm undertones, also very pigmented.
The three mineral blushes are: Rose Spritz, super pigmented corally pink with gold almost metallic sheen, Amaretto, buttery soft pigmented rosy brown with warm undertones and Pamplemousse, very pigmented vibrant dark pink with warm undertones.
I love this palette, I think all the colours are gorgeous and perform really well.
I hope it will be available again on Sephora Italia, maybe with Becca whole cosmetic range!

Nuovo post della serie YT Collab, la serie dedicata alle review dei prodotti nati in collaborazione tra famosi brand di cosmetici e beauty gurus di YouTube.
Nonostante Becca non sia ancora disponibile nei Sephora italiani, questa palette in collaborazione con Jaclyn Hill è uscita in alcuni negozi prima di Natale e devo ammettere che io l'ho trovata per puro caso!
Mentre speriamo di trovare presto Becca anche nei nostri Sephora, diamo un'occhiata più da vicino alla collaborazione tra Becca e Jaclyn Hill..

Con quasi 4 milioni di followers, Jaclyn Hill è una delle beauty guru più conosciute ed influenti, la sua collaborazione con Becca è cominciata qualche anno fa quando è uscito Champagne Pop l'illuminante oro rosa che è diventato un successo internazionale..
Successivamente è uscita una palette di ombretti, sempre parte della collaborazione, che ha destato, purtroppo, parecchie polemiche in merito alla qualità stessa del prodotto.
In seguito alle lamentele dei clienti/fan Becca si è ufficialmente scusata per non aver rispettato i suoi alti standard di produzione e la palette è stata ritirata dalle vendite.
Ultimo prodotto di questa collaborazione è la Glow Face Palette (54 €) in edizione limitata.
Partiamo dal packaging bianco ed oro, che è davvero molto lussuoso ed elegante.
All'interno della palette troviamo, oltre ad un grande specchio, due illuminanti e tre mineral blush.
I due illuminanti sono il famoso Champagne Pop, un oro rosa caldo molto pigmentato e Prosecco Pop, un oro chiaro caldo, anche questo molto pigmentato.
Sono entrambi molto belli, si sfumano facilmente e basta veramente poco prodotto per un effetto wow.
I tre mineral blush sono: Rose Spritz, un rosa corallo dorato luminoso e molto pigmentato, Amaretto, un marrone rosato dal sottotono caldo, burroso e pigmentato ed infine Pamplemousse, un rosa scuro vibrante dal sottotono caldo anche questo super pigmentato.
La palette mi piace moltissimo, la pigmentazione è fantastica e i colori sono davvero belli.
Speriamo che torni presto disponibile da Sephora Italia, magari con tutti gli altri prodotti Becca!

YUME TWINS BOX UNBOXING | December

Finally december Yiume Twins box arrived!
Probably due to the holiday period, they had some shipping issues, but the Yume Twins team was super supportive and caring, they even offered me a new box if mine wouldn't arrive, so I'm even more pleased with my subscription.

Probabilmente a causa del periodo festivo si sono accumulati dei ritardi con la spedizione.

Il team Yume Twins è stato molto gentile informandosi sempre sugli sviluppi della situazione ed offrendo anche una nuova box in caso la mia non fosse arrivata, quindi sono ancora più soddisfatta del mio abbonamento.

This adorable baby howl it's a soft pouch that you can fill with whatever you like and take it with you in your bag.

It feels just like a plushie and it was available in five different animal shapes.

Questo adorabile gufetto è un sacchettino soffice che possiamo riempire con ciò che vogliamo e portarlo con noi. 

E' morbidissimo, proprio come un peluche, ed era disponibile in cinque diverse opzioni.

• MAME Shiba Inu Smartphone Cleaner 

This funny little Shiba Inu it's a smartphone screen cleaner, every accessory in Japan must be kawaii, even a simple screen cleaner.

It was available in four adorable options, the strap makes it the perfect addition to you bag or keys.

Questo buffo Shiba Inu è un pulisci schermo per smartphone, qualsiasi accessorio in Giappone deve essere kawaii, quindi anche un semplice pulisci schermo non può che essere carinissimo.

Era disponibile in quattro varianti, e grazie allo strap può essere utilizzato anche come accessorio decorativo.

• RILAKKUMA Hand Towel

As I said before, Rilakkuma is one of my favourite characters, I'm always super happy to get Rilakkuma items in my box.

This hand towel is decorated with Rilakkuma and his friend eating something that I couldn't identify, still super cute though!

Come ho già detto più volte, Rilakkuma è uno dei miei personaggi preferiti, sono sempre contentissima quando lo trovo nella box!

Un pratico asciugamano con Rilakkuma ed i suoi amici intenti a mangiare qualcosa che non sono riuscita ad identificare.

• Christmas PEANUTS Plushie

This Snoopy plushie will make a beautiful tree decoration, it was available in four different all cute options.

Penso proprio che questo peluche di Snoopy con il cappello di Babbo Natale sarà un perfetto decoro natalizio per il mio albero.

Era possibile ricevere quattro diverse varianti, tutte molto carine.

• SNOOPY Pocket Mirror

A compact mirror is always handy, even better if it's decorated with Peanuts characters!

Uno specchietto è sempre utile, meglio ancora se decorato con i personaggi dei Peanuts!

• Christmas Bath Soak

It's always nice to receive a bath soak to pamper yourself.

Even if it's not Christmas anymore, it's still freezing cold, so a hot scented bath it's right up my alley, I can't wait to try it!

E' sempre bello ricevere un prodotto da bagno per concedersi una coccola.

Anche se Natale è già passato è ancora molto freddo, quindi un bagno caldo e profumato fa proprio al caso mio, non vedo l'ora di provarlo!

• THE RETURN OF LUM: Lum Invader Decorative Tape

If you were born in the 80' just like me you must remember Lum, the sexy green hair alien came to earth to damn poor Ataru Moroboshi.

This is a vintage tape with Lum all over it that I will use for sure to decorate my planner!

Se anche voi come me siete nati negli anni 80 non potete aver dimenticato Lamù (Lum di Urusei Yatsura in Giappone) la sexy aliena dai capelli verdi che portava scompiglio nella vita del povero Ataru Moroboshi.

Questo è uno scotch vintage con i disegni di Lamù, lo userò sicuramente per decorare la mia agenda!

•  NEKO ATSUME Plushie Hat

Yume Twins Team really thought it all, since it's so cold there is no better way of keeping warm beside wearing this Neko Atsume hat!

I still play with the app and I actually renamed this exact cat David Bowie because he has different eyes' colors and I'm so glad I received this one!

Il team di Yume Twins ha pensato proprio a tutto, visto il freddo incombente quale miglior modo di riscaldarsi se non con una cuffia di Neko Atsume?

Nell'app, a cui io gioco tutt'ora, ho rinominato questo gatto nero David Bowie perchè ha un occhio di un colore diverso dall'altro, quindi sono stata felicissima di ricevere proprio questo!

I think this box is very cute and I can't wait to unbox the january one!

TOO FACED | SWEET PEACH PALETTE

I finally managed to get my hands on the Sweet Peach palette by Too Faced, it first came out in spring 2016 and it was sold out in a blink of an eye and I couldn't get it.
Everyone wanted it back so badly that Too faced released a second batch last december in the USA and came out with a whole Sweet Peach themed collection, with a blush, a face palette and glosses.
It's always questionable wether it will be launched in Italy or not, rumor has it that the whole collection should launch at the end of january in Sephora Italia stores, fingers crossed!
The Sweet Peach palette is already available now in Sephora USA stores and online, here in Italy is available in some Sephora stores.
This palette reminds me a lot of the Chocolate, Semi-Sweet Chocolate and Bon Bons palettes (you can find my reviews here 1,2,3), the packaging it's pretty similar, beside the fact that it's pink and orange and the eyeshadows smell like peach.
Inside the palette there are a mirror and 18 eyeshadows, with various finishes: matte, shimmer and metallic.
Eyeshadows' quality is amazing, they are so pigmented as you can see from the swatches.
There are only two shades that don't perform quite as well, Delectable (dark shimmery burgundy purple) and Talk Derby To Me (blackened purple with micro glitters).
The color range it's all peach inspired, so we have pinks, oranges and some darker browns and purples.
I think this palette is complete, you can definitively pull out both natural and intense looks.
I really like it and I'm glad I was able to find it!

Sono finalmente riuscita a mettere le mani sulla Sweet Peach palette di Too Faced, uscita nella primavera/estate 2016 è andata sold out in un secondo e io purtroppo non ero riuscita a trovarla.

Dopo molta insistenza da parte dei "fan", Too Faced l'ha ripresentata negli USA questo dicembre insieme ad una vera e propria collezione dedicata alla Sweet Peaches che comprende un blush, una palette viso ed una linea di gloss.

Rimane il solito dilemma: il resto della collezione sarà disponibile anche in Italia? 

Voci nel web dicono di sì, quindi non ci resta che incrociare le dita e sperare.

La palette la trovate disponibile nei negozi Sephora che hanno i prodotti Too Faced e probabilmente anche sul sito di Sephora verso la fine del mese.

La Sweet Peach ricorda le famosissime Chocolate, Semi-Sweet Chocolate e Bon Bons palette (di cui trovate le review qui 1, 2, 3), il packaging è molto simile, ma in questo caso è sfumato dal rosa chiarissimo all'arancione  intenso e gli ombretti profumano di pesca.

All'interno troviamo uno specchio e 18 ombretti dai finish opaco, satinato e metallico.

La qualità degli ombretti è fantastica, sono praticamente tutti davvero pigmentati e scriventi, gli swatches parlano da soli!

Gli unici due da cui mi aspettavo qualcosina in più sono Delectable (viola scuro/borgogna satinato) e Talk Derby To Me (nero/viola con micro glitter), che non risultano molto pigmentati.
Per quanto riguarda la gamma cromatica, essendo ispirati alla pesca gli ombretti variano da tonalità rosa e arancione, a colori più scuri come marrone e viola, si tratta di una palette completa per realizzare look sia naturali che più intensi.
Nel complesso questa palette mi piace molto e sono davvero contenta di averla trovata!

HOLIDAY MAKEUP | MARC JACOBS ABOUT LAST NIGHT PALETTE

This Marc Jacobs' palette is part of the holiday collection, it has a super luxurious packaging, the usual for this brand, even more festive with this shining gold.
Inside we have a huge mirror and 20 eyeshadows with various finishes, matte, shimmer, metallic and a few with micro glitters.
I love Marc Jacobs' eyeshadows, very soft and buttery to the touch and  very pigmented, as you can see from the swatches.
The colors and finishes ranges make this palette complete, we have highlighter, transition and deep shades.
Maybe it's missing a pop of color, but it's very wearable.
Since it's a luxury brand the price it's quite high ($ 99), Sephora Italia's website is offering a 20% off discount right now.

Questa palette di Marc Jacobs fa parte della holiday collection, ha un packaging super lussuoso come tutti i prodotti di questo brand, questa volta dorato e ancora più in tema con le feste.

All'interno troviamo, oltre ad un grande specchio, venti ombretti dai finish matte, shimmer, metallic e alcuni infusi con micro glitter.

Gli ombretti di Marc Jacobs sono davvero molto belli, sono burrosi al tatto e, come si vede dagli swatches, molto pigmentati.

La varietà di colori e di finish rende questa palette davvero completa, ci sono ombretti molto chiari per illuminare, nuances perfette come transizione, e toni più scuri per intensificare il look.

Forse manca qualche ombretto più colorato, ma la gamma proposta è sicuramente molto portabile.

Trattandosi di un brand piuttosto lussuoso, il prezzo è chiaramente elevato (94,90 €), ma in questo momento la trovate al 20% di sconto sul sito di Sephora (75,90 €).

If you purchased Marc Jacobs' holiday palette last year and you are wondering whether to buy or not the new one, I thought some swatches from the oldest one would make the comparison much easier.

We still have 20 eyeshadows with all the finishes matte, shimmer, metallic and a few with micro glitters.

In the oldest palette we do have some pop of colors, some purples, greens and silver and the darkest shades are all infused with micro glitters.

Some shades are pretty similar, like the matte white and cream ones and the coppery shade,  except those, I consider these two palettes quite different.

The new one has mainly earthy tones and it's pretty much complete, the oldest one has some pop of colors but no transition shade.

I actually like them both, and Marc Jacobs' eyeshadows quality is always amazing.

In caso abbiate acquistato la palette proposta sempre da Marc Jacobs l'anno scorso e non siate sicuri di voler acquistare anche quella nuova, ho pensato di farvi vedere gli swatches per paragonarle.

La palette dell'anno scorso ha sempre 20 ombretti con finish matte, shimmer, metallic e glitters.

Rispetto a quella nuova c'è qualche colore più acceso, alcune tonalità di verde, viola, e argento e gli ombretti più scuri sono tutti infusi con dei micro glitter.

Alcuni ombretti si somigliano molto, ad esempio alcuni colori bianchi e panna opachi, e il color rame, per il resto direi che sono palette sostanzialmente diverse, quella nuova vira più su toni neutri mente quella dell'anno scorso ha più ombretti accesi, ma mancano tuttavia dei colori di transizione.

Nel complesso mi piacciono entrambe, apprezzo che quella nuova sia sostanzialmente completa e mi piacciono i colori un po' più stravaganti di quella vecchia, in ogni caso quanto a qualità Marc Jacobs è una sicurezza!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It might seem crazy but the fourth day of 2017 it's already gone.
I spent new year's eve with my husband at friends' house, we had an amazing home made dinner where everybody contributed with a delicious dish and then we ended the night dancing at a rock party at the Estragon club, till 5 in the morning which didn't happen since a long time.

Sembra incredibile ma il quarto giorno del 2017 è già passato.

Ho passato capodanno con mio marito a casa di amici, con una cena fantastica dove tutti hanno contribuito con un piatto delizioso e poi abbiamo concluso in bellezza ad una festa rock all'Estragon, un locale di Bologna, facendo chiusura cosa che non mi capitava da parecchio.

The first day of 2017 we woke up still tired, but with the firm idea of not wasting the whole day sleeping in bed.
Food first, we went to this new place called Pappare', which is already one of my favorite.
The menu is very intriguing and instagram friendly, but also very friendly to my stomach since everything is so yummy!
I shared an avocado on toast with my hubby and then, since I don't usually share sweet stuff, each of us got different whole wheat pancakes, I went for the classic chocolate and banana and my hubby decided for the chantilly and pistacchio ones, so good.
This place is always packed, so you definitively need to be patient, but if you try it you won't regret it for sure.

L'1 ci siamo svegliati con molta calma, ancora un po' frastornati, ma carichi.

Prima tappa Pappare', un posticino nuovo che è già entrato nel mio cuore di golosa doc.

Un menù super sfizioso, con tutte quelle portate instagram friendly, ma soprattutto sono friendly per la mia pancia perchè sono deliziose!
Ho diviso un avocado on toast con mio marito e poi, visto che sul dolce invece non divido mai, ognuno ha preso dei pancakes integrali con aggiunte diverse, io ho optato per i classici nocciolata e banana, mentre mio marito si è lanciato con chantilly e granella di pistacchi, superlativi entrambi.
Questo posticino è preso regolarmente d'assalto quindi ci vuole un po' di pazienza e collaborazione, ma se lo proverete non rimarrete delusi!

After this satisfying breakfast, we headed over Palazzo Pepoli to see Hugo Pratt's exhibition dedicated to his famous character Corto Maltese.
I love comics and drawing in general, so it was incredible to see Hugo Pratt's original artworks, it really inspired me and made me want to go back to drawing as I used to do.
The exhibition is really well curated, it feels like getting to know the artist's life trough his drawings.
Finally my city,  with this kind of cultural activities, is stepping in the right direction, with this kind of cultural activities and I'm so excited about it.

Dopo questa colazione/brunch divina abbiamo deciso di andare a vedere la mostra di Hugo Pratt dedicata a Corto Maltese a Palazzo Pepoli.
Io adoro i fumetti e il disegno in genere, quindi poter vedere delle tavole originali di un artista come Hugo Pratt mi ha ispirato davvero a riprendere matite e pennelli in mano e ricominciare a disegnare come facevo una volta.
La mostra è molto bella, ricca e ben curata, è un viaggio nella vita dell'artista le cui esperienze si sono tradotte in personaggi e storie su carta.
Finalmente mi sembra che la mia città stia aprendo le porte a mostre ed attività culturali di cui prima sentivo veramente la mancanza, una città così bella deve tornare ad essere un punto di riferimento, e sembra proprio che la direzione presa sia quella giusta.

This post is clearly different from my usual standards, but I truly wanted to share with you the beginning of 2017 in a positive way.
My first day of 2017 was good, simple but fulfilling and it made me think of what are the usual new year resolutions.
I really want to dedicate more time to my passions, and that's why I want to keep posting on this blog and make it grow.
I also want to get in touch with my artistic side and start drawing again.
I hope I will get the chance to travel and also to stick to a more healthy lifestyle in general.
My goals are set, let's see how they evolve with time.
I hope 2017 started well for you guys, and even if it didn't, we need to keep in mind that every positive action can make a significant change.

Questo post è chiaramente diverso dalle mie solite review, ma in questo caso volevo condividere con voi l'inizio del 2017 con una nota positiva.
Il mio primo giorno dell'anno è stato davvero bello, semplice ma appagante e mi ha fatto riflettere su quelli che possiamo definire i classici buoni propositi che si fanno sempre in vista del nuovo anno.
In questo senso ho deciso di continuare a dare spazio alle mie passioni, voglio continuare ad impegnarmi e scrivere con costanza sul blog e provare a farlo crescere.
Voglio anche tornare in contatto con la mia parte più artistica e ricominciare a disegnare come una volta.
Per il resto spero di avere l'opportunità di viaggiare e di cercare di avere uno stile di vita il più sano possibile.
I goals più importanti sono stati definiti, vediamo come si evolveranno col tempo.
Intanto spero che il 2017 sia iniziato con il piede giusto e anche qualora non fosse così dobbiamo sempre ricordarci che ogni piccola azione può fare la differenza in positivo.
