OPI at COSMOPROF 2015

Pavilion 36 at Cosmoprof Bologna 2015 was just nails heaven, OPI stand was of course a huge part of that happy place.

OPI stand was as crowded as you can imagine, they were also selling their products with a nice discount and it was an amazing opportunity for me to have a sneak peek of the newest collection that will be soon released here in my country as well.

I had the opportunity to speak with the marketing Manager and she was was so kind to show me all the cool new stuff, I'm talking about new colors, but also new textures and finish. but first things first.

Padiglione 36 del Cosmoprof Bologna 2015, il regno degli smalti e della nail art, ovviamente non poteva mancare lo stand OPI.

Anche qui lunghe file per acquistare i prodotti con lo sconto speciale della fiera e un'ottima occasione per me per sbirciare tutte le nuovissime collezioni di questo noto brand americano.

Ho avuto l'opportunità di parlare con la Marketing Manager, la quale è stata gentilissima e mi ha illustrato tutte le ultime linee ideate da OPI.

Si parla non solo di nuovi colori, ma soprattutto di textures diverse e particolari, dal gel finish alla possibilità di creare combinazioni di colori

A luxurious collection inspired by one of the most visited city in the world, Venice.

All the colors celebrate this city, it's unique and magic atmosphere, it feels like a time travel through ancient precious fabrics and rare gem stone, and everything is surrounded by the blue lagoon.

All the polishes names are dedicated to Italy and to Venice, and they are so much fun!

This one is definitively the most innovative one, we are talking about blendable chromatic colors, created for artistic nail art and meant to be extremely amusing.

The silver base will make the other colors pop out and change intensity, which can be also modulated by how you actually apply the colors.

A strong stroke will give you more intensity, a light one a more delicated effect.

This collection really caught my attention, it's meant to be super interesting and super creative!

Questa è sicuramente la collezione più innovativa, si tratta di colori miscelabili tra di loro, ideati per nail art artistiche ed allo stesso tempo estremamente divertenti.

La base argentata consentirà ai colori di variare modulazione, da chiara a scura, l'intensità dipenderà anche dalla stessa applicazione, dal tratto deciso oppure leggero.

Insomma si preannuncia una collezione veramente interessante e fuori dal comune che non vedo l'ora di provare!

This is the collection for who loves gel finish but doesn't want to go to a nail salon to get the nails properly done.

With these gel polishes you get the same amazing shiny finish, your mani will last longer and you won't need to use any hot tool.

The Marketing Manager was also so kind to give me two full size OPI nail polishes from the latest collection for summer, Hawaii.
They are so bright and gorgeous! They make me think of hot sand and blue sea, can't wait to wear them!

I colori sono stupendi, così vivaci, mi fanno pensare alla sabbia calda e al blu del mare e non vedo l'ora di indossarli!

Beauty in Vogue Night Bologna

Finally my beautiful city has become the perfect setting for an event that turned out amazing.

Like Cinderella, Bologna dressed up. All the shops, even those that are considered inaccessible, opened their doors to the people and offered wine and appetizers, and also some special events. The whole event was organized thanks to the collaboration between Cosmoprof and Vogue Italy, a perfect marriage that gave birth to the first Beauty in Vogue Night Bologna.

I was looking forward for this evening, and all my expectations were met.

My first stop was the Qvc stand to get the Qvc Beauty Box. Since I'm a costumer I was totally sure that it was worth it, and I was right. The Qvc stand in Galleria Cavour was amazing. You could meet two famous people for those of you that follow qvc on tv, Laura Rinaldi, make up artist for Laura Geller, and Elena for Leighton Denny. I would have loved to have my make up and nails done but there were so many people in line and so many other things to see.

Walking through Galleria Cavour you could step by one of the Campari corners and try the Campari Orange passion cocktail dedicated to the special occasion while listening to music played by a dj placed in front of the bar.

My friends and I decided to move to via Farini. Since the line to enter in Carla G. shop was endless we gave up and entered a very peculiar shop, Il Borgo Delle Tovaglie, a unique and suggestive place , perfect if you want to buy precious fabrics and get ideas for interior design.

Here too you could have some Campari Orange Passion cocktails combined with a delicious bubble of orange sorbet offered by Le Botteghe di Leonardo. You could chose to try the sorbet separately or drop it into your drink. Both were tasty.

While I was totally fascinated by these blissful sights and flavors, with a blink of an eye I saw HER, Franca Sozzani, Vogue Italy's director.

I was so astonished, I was only able to see her quickly in the crowd and then she disappeared, but it was epic anyway!

The next mandatory stop was the Archiginnasio Library, in which you could find a wonderful exhibition of the most beautiful Vogue covers dedicated to beauty, with Campari cocktails everywhere since there were two bars located there.

We continued our tour moving to the shops in Portico Del Pavaglione: in Max & Co, while the waiters kept serving white wine and salted almonds, you could get your nails done by CND Shellac beauticians. In Liu Jo there was a make up artist and also a real set where you could get photographed after having a beauty make over, just like a star, so funny!

Then we moved back to via Farini to visit Patrizia Pepe's shop. There was a tote bag created for Beauty in Vogue Night and also L'Oreal hairdressers that were styling people's hair with the new Elnett hairspray.

Then we arrived at Stefanel shop, and we found loads of prosecco and a very special beauty bag made in collaboration with a few shops and brands like L'Inde Le Palais, Vittorio, Pin-Up Stars e Alterna hair Care, waiting for us.

Walking under the rain through the small streets of the neighborhood we got to the beautiful Ratti Boutique, who, in collaboration with the famous brand O.P.I., offered a manicure made by the beauticians of the Day Spa.

You could walk through all those amazing dresses and accessories, drinking champagne and tasting delicious chocolate offered by Venchi, such a glamorous night!

This time I had a manicure done. I chose for my nails the nail polish dedicated to Beauty in Vogue Night Bologna, the O.P.I. Red limited edition. It was very nice and I had the chance to have a chat with the beauticians and they gave me some good advice.

Before leaving the boutique they gave me a little red bag with the O.P.I. Red and the press release that described the event, such a nice gift!

Last but not least we stepped by Pinko store, we found many people dancing to the music played by a dj, having a look of the new spring/summer edition.

Talking about Pinko's new collection I'd like to remind you of the Pinko Bags for Etiopia, made in 100% cotton by women in a factory situated in Adis Abeba. The idea is to provide those women a job selling this amazing bags, so please check them out!

This night was simply incredible, I had so much fun walking through all the shops, having the chance to meet new people and learn so many things about beauty and fashion. I hope it will happen again next year.

I feel like my city has so much potential and it actually showed up in this special event, I think Bologna proved it's just like the other famous fashion cities, like Rome and Milan. Bologna made it through and made it very well in my opinion so I hope the best for my beautiful city!

Finalmente la mia bellissima città è diventata teatro per una sera di un evento veramente riuscito.

Come Cenerentola, Bologna si è tirata a lucido, i negozi, anche quelli considerati inaccessibili, hanno aperto le porte al pubblico offrendo aperitivi di benvenuto e alcune iniziative speciali davvero interessanti. Tutto questo grazie alla collaborazione tra Cosmoprof e Vogue Italia, un matrimonio perfetto che ha visto nascere la prima Beauty in Vogue Night Bologna.

Io aspettavo trepidante questa serata, che ha ampiamente ripagato le mie aspettative.

Primo obiettivo la beauty box di Qvc, essendo cliente da tempo ero sicurissima che ne valesse la pena e così è stato. Lo stand era bellissimo ed erano presenti due volti noti, per chi segue il canale dello shopping, la make up artist Laura Rinaldi per Laura Geller, e Elena di Leighton Denny. Avrei voluto farmi truccare e applicare lo smalto ma la fila era lunghissima e c'erano troppe cose da vedere.

In Galleria Cavour oltre allo stand di Qvc, si poteva provare un cocktail Campari Orange Passion offerto per l'occasione ascoltando musica a tutto volume proveniente dalla postazione dj.

Con le mie amiche ci siamo spostate in via Farini, la fila davanti a Carla G era infinita quindi abbiamo soprasseduto e siamo entrate in un negozio davvero particolare, il Borgo delle Tovaglie, un ambiente ricercato e trasformista, dove poter acquistare tessuti pregiati ed elementi decorativi e di design.

Anche qui era presente il Campari corner dover poter gustare il Campari cocktail in abbinamento con una deliziosa bolla di sorbetto ghiacciato all'arancia offerto da Le Botteghe di Leonardo, da mischiare dentro al cocktail oppure da assaggiare separatamente.

In questa estasi dei sensi, tra vista e sapore, con la coda dell'occhio ho realizzato di avere dietro di me a pochi centimetri proprio LEI, Franca Sozzani, direttrice di Vogue Italia.

Dato il mio stordimento ho appena fatto in tempo a vederla di sfuggita sparire tra la folla, ma è stato comunque epico!
Tappa successiva obbligatoria la biblioteca dell'Archiginnasio, dove era stata allestita una mostra delle più belle copertine di Vogue dedicate alla bellezza e dove era possibile gustare il Campari cocktail Orange Passion nelle due postazioni bar.

Abbiamo continuato il nostro tour passando per il portico del Pavaglione: da Max & Co, mentre i camerieri giravano per il negozio armati di prosecco e mandorle salate, era possibile farsi fare la manicure da CND Shellac, da LIU JO era presente un make up artist e dopo la seduta di trucco chi voleva poteva farsi fotografare, proprio come una star, nel piccolo set fotografico preparato per l'occasione, un'iniziativa davvero divertente!
Da Patrizia Pepe oltre a poter acquistare delle tote bag create per l'evento, era possibile provare uno stile differente con gli hair stylist di L'Oreal e la nuova lacca Elnett.
Ci siamo spostate poi da Stefanel, dove oltre a gustare del buon prosecco era possibile acquistare una Beauty Bag creata in collaborazione con altri negozi e brand, tra cui L'Inde Le Palais, Vittorio, Pin-Up Stars e Alterna hair Care.
Girando sotto la pioggia tra le viuzze del quadrilatero siamo entrate nella splendida Boutique Ratti, che per l'occasione in collaborazione con il noto brand O.P.I., offriva un cambio smalto realizzato dalle estetiste della Day Spa di Bologna, il tutto impreziosito dall'esposizione di abiti e accessori mozzafiato, da fiumi di champagne e di cioccolata Venchi.
Ovviamente non ho saputo resistere e mi sono fatta applicare lo smalto dedicato proprio alla Beauty in Vogue Night in limited edition l'O.P.I. Red. La manicure è stata davvero piacevole, ho avuto modo di fare due chiacchiere e di ricevere ottimi consigli dalle estetiste della Day Spa. Alla fine prima di uscire mi hanno regalato lo smalto con il comunicato stampa che descriveva l'evento, un regalo davvero speciale!
Prima di tornare a casa abbiamo fatto un salto nello store di Pinko dove per era stato predisposto un dj set per la speciale occasione, tantissima gente ad ascoltare musica e ad ammirare la collezione primavera estate, a questo proposito vorrei anche ricordarvi l'iniziativa benefica Pinko Bag for Ethiopia, borse prodotte con cotone africano al 100%, ad Adis Abeba in una fabbrica tutta al femminile.
Il bilancio della serata è ovviamente stra positivo, è stato un evento incredibile, che spero venga riproposto alla prossima edizione del Cosmoprof.
Certo sarebbe ancora più positivo se Bologna diventasse un punto di riferimento per iniziative di questo tipo, credo che la nostra città abbia dimostrato di essere all'altezza delle "grandi" metropoli e di avere moltissime potenzialità.
Un grosso in bocca al lupo alla mia adorata Bologna!
