Mac Alluring Aquatics

When a famous (and expensive) make up brand comes out with a limited edition it's very hard to fight the temptation of buying every single item without paying too much attention on it. 

I made some totally impulsive purchases to find out they were totally wrong for me or even low quality stuff.

This may happen (not always though) because limited edition are usually focused more on packaging, products' names and marketing, instead on the quality.

MAC launches limited collections almost every month, and they are all so beautiful that is hard not to collect them all.

One of the latest one is the Alluring Aquatics, which has an amazing water green packaging with water drops on every product, inspired by sirens of the deep.

Quando una casa cosmetica famosa (e costosa) lancia una limited edition la prima tentazione è quella di comprare a scatola chiusa, spesso mi sono ritrovata ad acquistare impulsivamente prodotti che si sono poi rivelati totalmente inadatti a me o magari persino di scarsa qualità. 

Succede perchè spesso (non sempre però) le limited edition puntano più sul packaging, sui nomi, sul marketing che sulla qualità del prodotto.

La MAC lancia collezioni in edizioni limitate quasi ogni mese, ed è davvero difficile non farsi prendere dalla smania di collezionare tutto.

Una delle ultime uscite è la Alluring Aquatics, caratterizzata da uno stupendo packaging dall'effetto bagnato, color verde acqua (appunto) ispirata alle sirene degli abissi.

I went to Bologna MAC store to have a look at this new collection and I fell in love with it!

I immediately tried the Alluring Aquatic Extra Dimension Eye Shadows, with a highly polished metallic finish, the MAC logo and 3D design.

Pigmentation is insane and  the colors, in my opinion, are amazing, sadly limited edition (19,50$ each).

Sono andata nello store MAC di Bologna a dare un'occhiata e sono rimasta folgorata...

Ho iniziato subito a provare gli Alluring Aquatic Extra Dimension Eye Shadows, che si caratterizzano per un finish metallico super lucido, il logo MAC inciso e un'onda di ombretto pluridimensionale. 

La pigmentazione è eccezionale e i colori sono, a mio parere, meravigliosi e purtroppo, almeno per il momento, limited edition (19,50 euro ciascuno).

In this collection we have also two Pearglide Intense Eye Liners (17,50$ each), in this case the two shades are permanent, only the packaging is different, there is Black Line and Black Swan.

Both super pigmented and easy to apply.

Fanno sempre parte di questa collezione anche due Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner (19 euro ciascuna), in questo caso i due colori fanno parte della collezione permanente, cambia solo il packaging, e sono Black Line e Black Swan. 

Anche queste super pigmentate e scorrevolissime.

These are all the eyeshadows and eye liners swatches. I tjhink you can get an idea about this products' high quality, the shades are gorgeous, I can't wait to create many looks with them!

Questi sono tutti gli swatches degli ombretti e delle matite. Credo che rendano bene l'idea della qualità di questi prodotti, sono colori davvero stupendi, non vedo l'ora di provare a creare tanti look!
