Cosmoprof 2014

I've been waiting for Cosmoprof Bologna 2014 since last year (if you want to see Cosmoprof 2013 click here), but when it's not meant to be there is nothing you can do about it!
During the exact days of this huge event in my city I had to go to Rome for the whole weekend, but instead of moaning and complaining I decided to go anyway even for just a few hours.
I was lucky enough to get a discount ticket and so under the pouring rain the first day of Cosmoprof 2014 started.
I basically run trough as many pavilions I could, taking photos like crazy.
Even if it was the first day of Cosmoprof, it was already packed with people, mainly buyers from all over the world, It was impossible to see everything, so since I had only few hours I decided to focus on pavilions dedicated to make up.
I made it to the bio, natural cosmetics pavilion (very interesting) then to the traditional one where I found all the brands I was more interested in Makeup Forever, NYX, Wet'N'Wild, Physician Formula, Gosh (some of them are not available yet here in Italy but they could be very soon) and Eva Garden that i had the chance to try with the Glossy Box (sadly no more since they are not working in Italy anymore).
Then I made a quick step to the nails pavilion, leaving my heart on the latest OPI, Orly, CND Schellac collections and it was endless! So many stands!
I tried my best to meet the Pixiwoo sisters, I even tried to contact them with Twitter and Instagram (wondering why I was so sure they would have replied to me lol!), but of course I didn't make it. I couldn't even visit all the hair and spa pavilion, I was such in a rush that I had no time left.
So before I leave you with tons and tons of pictures I took, I'd like to give you some suggestions about how to survive this make up marathone.

• Subscribe to Cosmoprof website, usually you can easily find discounts code and all the info about this international event.
• If you are super passionate about make up and you want to enjoy your visit at Cosmoprof consider investing in a package, basing on my personal experience you need at least two days to cover all the pavilions, with no hurry, no stress and no strain.
• Wear comfy clothes and shoes, you will walk a lot and it's not the right time (at leats in my opinion) to pull off those amazing stilettos of yours!
• Before getting into the crowd check carefully the map and the stands you are most interested in, so you won't get lost.
• If you want to buy stuff, remember that most of the stands don't sell anything. Some of them may exceptionally sell their products on the last event day, usually monday, so if you want to make sure you get something, book for that day.
• Ask kindly for samples. It's not that easy but not even impossible. This event is not for buyers only, so try to talk to the people at the stands, get info and maybe some nice samples.

Era un anno che aspettavo il Cosmoprof (per dare un'occhiata alla scorsa edizione cliccate qui), ma quando il caso si mette in mezzo non c'è proprio niente da fare!
Ovviamente proprio nei giorni del tanto aspettato evento si sono accavallati altri impegni improcrastinabili che mi hanno portato a Roma. Quindi invece di disperarmi ho deciso di andarci comunque prima di partire, sì anche per poche ore volevo esserci!

Per fortuna avevo ottenuto un codice sconto sostanzioso e così sotto la pioggia è cominciata la mia breve mattinata al Cosmoprof.
Ho attraversato non so quanti padiglioni della fiera praticamente di corsa, scattando foto a più non posso. Nonostante fosse la mattina del primo giorno, c'era già tantissima gente, la maggior parte buyers da tutto il mondo, era impossibile vedere tutto quindi ho deciso di fiondarmi nei padiglioni dedicati alla cosmetica.
Sono riuscita a visitare il padiglione dedicato ai cosmetici bio e naturali davvero interessante, quello della cosmetica più "tradizionale", dove ho trovato alcuni dei brand che mi interessano di più come Makeup Forever, NYX, Wet'N'Wild, Physician Formula, Gosh (alcuni ancora non sono disponibili in Italia, ma presto potrebbero esserlo) ed Eva Garden che avevo già avuto modo di provare nelle Glossy Box (che purtroppo non riceveremo più visto che hanno chiuso).
Poi ho fatto un salto veloce nel padiglione tutto dedicato alle unghie, lasciando gli occhi sulle ultime collezioni di OPI, Orly, CND Shellac e compagnia bella.
Il tempo tiranno non mi ha permesso di individuare le Pixiwoo sisters, che ho cercato inutilmente anche tramite Twitter e Instagram (convintissima che mi avrebbero risposto, come no! Ahahahah) e nemmeno di visitare per bene i padiglioni dedicati a capelli ed estetica.
Quindi prima di lasciarvi con una quantità di foto quasi imbarazzante vi vorrei dare qualche consiglio su come affrontare questo tour de force del makeup.

• Iscrivetevi al sito del Cosmoprof, spesso prima dell'evento è possibile acquistare biglietti scontati, anche a metà prezzo.
• Se siete super appassionate di make up e volete vedervi la fiera con calma considerate l'ipotesi di acquistare un pacchetto, dopo aver praticamente corso per tre ore penso che per vedere decentemente tutti i padiglioni siano necessari 2 giorni, così si ha la possibilità di fare le cose con più calma e di non stancarsi troppo.
• Abbigliamento confortevole e scarpe basse, si cammina tanto e non è il momento (almeno secondo me) di sfoggiare un tacco 12 (ma nemmeno uno 3 ahahah!)
• Consultate bene la mappa e gli stand per essere sicure di non perdere i vostri brand preferiti.
• Se volete fare acquisti ricordatevi che purtroppo molti brand non vendono i loro prodotti, spesso però l'ultimo giorno di fiera, solitamente il lunedì, fanno un'eccezione, quindi se avete a disposizione un solo giorno e siete interessate all'acquisto vi consiglio di optare per l'ultimo.
• Chiedete campioncini, non sempre è facile, ma non è detto che sia impossibile! Dopotutto non è una fiera solo per i buyers.
