I thought till the very last minute that MAC Cosmetics Italia would have missed this gorgeous collection, but luckily on the 5th of October it launched in some MAC Pro boutiques and online.
It's MAC latest collaboration with the famous k-beauty MUA, Instagram and YouTube star, Park Hye Min, aka Pony, that's why "Pony Park" collection.
Pony took inspiration from the tarots cards and she chose three classic symbols: the sun, the moon and the stars.
The packaging reflects this whole vibe, everything looks like a tarot card and it's beautiful!
Let's have a closer look at the products I purchased.

E' la collaborazione con la famosissima MUA koreana, Instagram e Youtube star, Park Hye Min, in arte Pony, per questo il nome della collezione: Pony Park.
Pony si è ispirata ai Tarocchi, scegliendo tre simboli classici: il sole, la luna e le stelle.
Il packaging quindi rispecchia pienamente il tema ed è bellissimo.
Andiamo ora a vedere nel dettaglio i prodotti che ho acquistato.
HOCUS POCUS EYESHADOW PALETTE (€ 45/£ 34/$ 35)
The eyeshadow palette is decorated by the Moon tarot card and it has a very secure magnetic closure.
Inside we have, beside the mirror, 8 eyeshadow pans with matte, shimmer and glittery finishes.
The chromatic scheme is quite neutral, a declination of browns and pinks.
the matte eyeshadow have a nice buttery texture, they are pigmented and easy to blend.
The shimmers and the glittery ones need to be used wet to achieve full pigmentation, as you can see from the swatches, if you apply them dry, they look more like topper, but you can also layer them to get more opacity.
Korean beauty trends are quite different from what we are used to see, most of the time they prefer a "no makeup makeup", to get a more natural and ethereal look, usually all the colours are very light and blended, with some highlighting spot here and there, such as in the lower lash line.
That's why I'm not shocked that the pigmentation is not outstanding and that the eyeshadows are very blendable and layerable instead.
I played with this palette for almost a week and I really like the whole concept behind it.
Partiamo dalla palette di ombretti, decorata dal tarocco della luna, con una chiusura magnetica.
All'interno troviamo, oltre allo specchio, 8 cialde di ombretti dai finish matte, shimmer e glitter
Sono tutte tonalità dal sottotono caldo, sui toni del rosa e del marrone.
Gli ombretti opachi hanno una texture morbida, sono pigmentati e facilmente sfumabili.
Per quanto riguarda gli ombretti shimmer e quelli glitterati, raggiungono la massima opacità se utilizzati bagnati, mentre, come potete vedere anche dagli swatches, da asciutti sono perfetti come topper, oppure si possono stratificare per ottenere una maggiore intensità.
Bisogna anche ricordarsi che il makeup koreano è molto diverso da quello che potremmo definire "occidentale", spesso si tratta di un "no makeup makeup" molto naturale per un effetto etereo, colori tenui e molto sfumati con lievi tocchi luminosi, in particolare ad esempio nella rima inferiore dell'occhio.
Proprio per questo non mi stupisce che la pigmentazione non sia eccessiva e che gli ombretti siano stati pensati per essere dosati a seconda dell'effetto voluto.
Ho utilizzato la palette per circa una settimana e mi sono trovata molto bene, mi sono divertita soprattutto ad usare gli ombretti glitterati (o pigmenti pressati) come topper ed il risultato mi piace davvero tanto.
EXTRA DIMENSION SKINFINISH SKY IS THE LIMIT (€ 35,50/£ 28/$ 38,50)
This highlighter is dedicated to the Sun tarot card.
It has a liquid to powder texture, it's soft and very pigmented.
This pale gold has also silver reflections and gold sparkles.
The pan embossing is so beautiful that I'm almost sad to use it!
Questo illuminante è dedicato alla carta dei tarocchi del Sole.
Ha una texture liquid to powder, molto morbida al tatto ed è molto pigmentato.
Si tratta di un oro molto pallido con riflessi argentati e dorati.
La decorazione della cialda è stupenda, quasi mi dispiace usarlo!
PLENTY OF POUT PLUMPING LIP GLOSS (€ 19,90/£ 20/$ 20)
It's not my first time trying a plumping lip gloss, basically they have some kind of ingredient that stimulates the lips and makes the blood concentrate and that's why the lips swell a little bit.
This gloss in particular works very well for that, but it kept stinging my lips for quite a while after the application.
My lips looked fuller for sure, there were no visible cracks or anything, but honestly at some point it became unbereable and I took it off.
So it only depends on you, if you can endure or not that feeling on your lips to get that wow effect.
Ho provato altre volte gloss con effetto rimpolpante, in sostanza contengono ingredienti che stimolano la mucosa delle labbra facendo si che tutto il sangue si concentri creando un effetto di gonfiore più o meno evidente.
Questo gloss sicuramente ha un effetto notevole, ma il pizzicore che si avverte normalmente utilizzando questo tipo di prodotto in questo caso, almeno per la mia esperienza personale, non passa, nemmeno dopo parecchio tempo.
Le mie labbra apparivano sicuramente più turgide erano prive di screpolature o pieghette, ma onestamente dopo un po' non ho resistito e l'ho rimosso.
Sta a voi decidere se vale la pena soffrire per un effetto labbra wow.
MATT LIP MOUSSE ONE HIT (€ 21,90/£ 20/$ 20)
This texture is really unusual, it's a very light mousse that gives a nice opacity in one swipe.
I went for the only nude in the collection, One Hit, a peachy rosy brown, and I love it, I almost don't feel it on my lips at all.
Even in this case I feel like MAC got really inspired by another very popular k-beauty trend that you can see from the photo I posted below.
The product is usually concentrated on the inside part of the lips and then blended toward the edges to get an ombre effect.
Questa texture è davvero particolare, sembra proprio una mousse leggerissima e impalpabile, ma risulta subito coprente alla prima passata.
I went for the only nude in the collection, One Hit, a peachy rosy brown, and I love it, I almost don't feel it on my lips at all.

Io ho scelto One Hit, un rosa pescato tendente al marrone, il nude della collezione insomma, e mi piace davvero molto perchè quasi non si sente sulle labbra.
Anche in questo caso MAC si è avvicinata alla k-beauty, dove si usa concentrare il prodotto nella parte interna delle labbra per poi sfumarlo e creare un effetto ombreggiato, proprio come potete vedere nella foto sotto.

PREP + PRIME FIX (€ 21/£ 24/$ 30)
The famous makeup staple Fix + gains a limited edition packaging and it's enfused with pink and blue iridescence for a celestial and ethereal look.
To activate it you just need to shake it, so the metal ball inside will mix all the product well.
Il classico e immancabile Fix+ si veste di un packaging nuovo e per questa collezione si arricchisce di una perlescenza rosa e blu per look etereo e quasi celestiale.
Per mescolare bene il prodotto basta agitarlo, in quanto all'interno si trova una pallina metallica che distribuisce uniformemente la sottilissima polvere iridescente nel liquido.
If it wasn't clear already I love this collection, I haven't been so thrilled for a limited edition launch in a very long time, that's why I can only say good things about it.
The only product I'm not crazy about is the plumping gloss, and I don't know if I will try it again.

Qualora non si fosse ancora capito sono una grande fan di questa collezione, non ero così elettrizzata per una limited edition da parecchio tempo, quindi onestamente non posso che parlarne bene.
L'unico prodotto che mi ha lasciato un po' perplessa è il plumping gloss perchè su di me veramente non finiva più di pizzicare, quindi non credo che lo utilizzerò di nuovo.
