MAC WASH & DRY

A few weeks ago MAC came out with a new limited edition collection, Wash & Dry, that MAC store Bologna Via Indipendenza celebrated with a funny event.

There where fake laundry machines full of bubbles and a hot guy pretending to iron some clothes (if you follow me on Instagram you already know that!).

Qualche tempo fa è uscita la collezione Wash & Dry di MAC, nello store di Bologna via Indipendenza l'hanno celebrata con un evento davvero carino, finte lavatrici piene di bollicine e un bel fusto alle prese con un ferro da stiro (ma se mi seguite su Instagram lo sapete già!).

This collection reminds me of sunny hot days at the beach, the packaging it's clearly inspired by summer and it's beautiful.

Here's what I picked up from this collection, all the photos and swatches and my reviews about them.

Una collezione ispirata all'estate, al sole e al mare, come si vede dal packaging super colorato che è stato scelto.

Stregata dal packaging (come al solito) ho acquistato alcune cosine di questa collezione, di seguito trovate gli swatches e i miei commenti su ogni prodotto.

• Wash & Dry Lipstick Creme d'Nude (ITA euro 21/USA $17,50)

It's a classic MAC nude in a limited edition packaging, I got it because I've plenty of fuchsia and reds, but no nude lipsticks, and I wanted to start with this one.

Applied by itself looks maybe too pale for me (I'm like that pale), but with a lip pencil beneath, a cool toned one, it looks gorgeous and sometimes I like to top it with a nude gloss as well.

It's creamy and nice on the lips, it doesn't last forever, but you wouldn't expect it from such a creamy lipstick, right?

Un classico nude di MAC riproposto in questa collezione, ho deciso di acquistarlo perchè sono piena di rossi e fuchsia, ma non ho rossetti di questa tonalità.

Applicato da solo è forse troppo chiaro per la mia carnagione, ma utilizzando una matita più scura, magari dal sottotono freddo, il risultato è davvero interessante.

E' un rossetto cremoso e piacevole sulle labbra, pertanto non aspettatevi una durata estrema, perchè proprio la sua consistenza morbida lo rende meno resistente.

• Wash & Dry Tinted Lipglass Hot/Cold (ITA euro 20/USA $16,50) 

This gloss looks like a delicious raspberries smoothie, I love this colour, I really fell in love with it.

It's creamy and super pigmented, vanilla scented as every lip product by MAC.

Definitively one of my favourite products from this collection.

Questo gloss sembra un delizioso frullato di lamponi, il colore è stupendo, me ne sono innamorata.

E' cremoso e pigmentatissimo, con il classico dolce profumo di vaniglia che distingue tutti i gloss MAC.

Sicuramente uno dei miei prodotti preferiti di questa collezione.

• Wash & Dry Highlight Powder Freshen Up (ITA euro 33/USA $35)

I feel like it's too obvious to point out how gorgeous this product looks, actually it took me a lot to find the gut to swatch it. I know, beauty blogger's problems.

I've just starded my love affair with highlighters, I'd say it all started with Bao Bao 

Since I'm so pale this orangy highlighters looks amazing as a blush, or even on top of a blush.

Just beautiful.

Mi sembra superfluo dire quanto sia meraviglioso esteticamente questo prodotto, al punto che per swatcharlo ci ho messo un bel po', temendo di rovinarlo.

Si sa son cose da beauty blogger.

Ho iniziato da poco ad avventurarmi nel mondo degli illuminanti, quello di Bao Bao ha spianato definitivamente la strada. 

Avendo una carnagione chiarissima questo colore quasi aranciato potrebbe essere un tantino eccessivo, ma applicato come blush o sopra ad un blush, il risultato è stupendo.

E' luminoso, ma non fa l'effetto disco ball, quindi va bene anche per quelle che come me hanno la pelle mista/grassa.

Insomma bellissimo.

• Wash & Dry Veluxe Pearlfusion Eyeshadow Trio Green Clean, Permanent Press (ITA euro 28/USA $27,50)

I travel quite a lot, even though for small trips, and I can't be bothered to take the whole house with me, so when I saw this little trio eyeshadows palette I thought they were just perfect for me.
The trio allows you to pull off a complete eye makeup look. The first color is shimmery and perfect to highlight the inner corner and the brow bone, the second one is for all over the lid and the last one, the darkest, is just right to put some depth in the crease, but you can play with them how ever you prefer.
I went for the trio with the lime green because that color it's very different, and then I played safe by choosing the brown/taupe trio, which is always a staple in my makeup bag.
The pigmentation is nice, they show off more on the lids than in the arm swatches.
They're both really pretty.

Mi  capita spesso di fare viaggi anche brevi, e non ho voglia di portarmi dietro la casa.

Quindi quando ho visto queste palettine trio mi sono sembrate perfette per le mie esigenze.

Entrambe hanno i tre colori necessari per un trucco occhi completo.

Il primo colore è chiaro e luminoso, il secondo è perfetto su tutta la palpebra mobile ed infine il terzo, il più scuro, per creare quell'ombreggiatura nella piega dell'occhio che dona profondità allo sguardo.

Nulla vieta poi che questi colori si possano reinterpretare ed usare diversamente.

Ho scelto il trio con il verde lime, perchè questo colore mi incuriosiva parecchio, poi sono rimasta in territorio neutro con il trio di marroni/tortora.

La pigmentazione è buona, devo dire che rendono più sulla palpebra che negli swatches che potete vedere sotto.

Entrambi molto  carini.
