My Valentine's day

Quick post about Valentine's day very in late, sorry guys!
Besides what you think about this occasion, love or consumerism day,  Valentine's day it's a day like many others and everyone face it the way he wants to, either you like the whole love atmosphere or you don't care at all.
I personally like Valentine's day, but I'm one of those lucky girl that don't have to wait till 14th of february to receive some special attention from my man, so I don't freak out if I can't organize anything incredible.
This year I already knew that me and my hubby would have spent this day separated since I had to go to Rome, so we decided to exchange presents in advance and we found out we had the same idea!
Few weeks earlier I went to Cruciani shop in Rome, they let me have a look around and take some pics, but I already knew what I was looking for.
For my hubby I chose the lock and key bracelets, perfect for this occasion, it separates in two parts, one has a heart shaped lock and the other one has the key to donate to your partner, really symbolic and romantic. I decided to get it in Chanel color, wich reminds me of metal jewelry and I really like it.
Then I bought for my self the butterfly bracelets multicolor limited edition, I adore butteflies and all the blue range of colors so this bracelets is simply perfect for me.
My hubby sometimes literally reads my mind, in fact he got me the amazing bracelets created by Cruciani in collaboration with Damiani, wich has red hearts spaced out by small silver spheres with three little diamonds, gorgeous!
I've been caught by the whole Cruciani mania!

Post velocissimo e ritardatario per San Valentino, scusate!
Prescindendo dai punti di vista, giorno dell'amore o giorno del consumismo, alla fine San Valentino è una giornata come tante altre e ognuno la vive come vuole, sia che ceda all'atmosfera tutta cuoricini o che per partito preso faccia finta di niente. 

A me San Valentino piace, ma sono una di quelle fortunate che non deve aspettare la data prestabilita per ricevere un'attenzione in più, quindi non faccio un dramma se non riesco a organizzare niente di incredibile.

Quest'anno per esempio sapevo già che io e mio marito saremmo stati separati, io dovevo andare a Roma, quindi abbiamo deciso di scambiarci i regali in anticipo e abbiamo avuto la stessa idea!
Qualche settimana fa ho visitato lo store di Cruciani a Roma, mi hanno lasciato curiosare per il negozio e scattare qualche foto, ma io sapevo già dove andare a parare.
Per mio marito ho scelto il braccialetto chiave e lucchetto, perfetto per San Valentino, si divide in due parti una con il lucchetto a cuore e l'altra da donare al partner con la chiave, davvero simbolico e romantico. L'ho scelto nella tonalità Chanel, che mi ricorda il metallo e mi piace tantissimo.
Poi mi sono regalata un bracciale farfalla multicolor limited edition, adoro le farfalle e tutte le tonalità dell'azzurro, quindi questo braccialetto è semplicemente perfetto per me.
Mio marito che mi legge nel pensiero mi ha regalato il meraviglioso bracciale creato da Cruciani in collaborazione con Damiani, cuori rossi intervallati da piccole sfere d'argento con incastonati tre diamantini, bellissimo!
Sono stata contagiata anch'io dalla cruciani mania!
Voi cosa pensate di San Valentino? 

Obsession n. 1: earrings

I'm crazy about accessories, especially earrings. This passion, though, was born late due to a ugly at the age of 8. I just had my ears pierced and my Grandma gave me a pair of lovely golden rings but, when I put them on, my ears started to swell badly and so I rushed to the Hospital and the doctor had to take them off cause I had an unespected allergic reaction. It was very painful and scary. 

From that moment on I chose not to wear earrings anymore!
Then when I was 18 (in Italy you become adult at this age) I decided to get the top of my left ear pierced and for that my mom didn't talk to me for 3 days! I know it sounds weird now that everybody gets whatever body part they want pierced or tattooed, but for me at the time it was a radical decision

I kept only that earring for a while. Then after I came back from Erasmus I decided to get each ear lobe pierced, and then later pierced again, so now I have 5 spots for earrings.

From that moment on I decided to make up for lost time and launched into a buying frenzy. I went through various phases, but the longest was my interest in ethnic pieces. I had a collection of silver or wooden earrings even some made of coconut, with pearls and gemstones. Then a went through a minimalist phase, only bars and studs. 

Now I've reached a kind of equilibrium in my personal taste, more varied, but at the same time curated. Here are some of my latest purchase and some that I received as a gift from family and friends.

Vado pazza per gli accessori, in particolare per gli orecchini. La mia passione però è nata molto in ritardo a causa di un brutto episodio avvenuto quando avevo 8 anni. Avevo appena fatto i buchi alle orecchie e mia nonna mi aveva regalato delle deliziose anelline doro, appena indossate però un orecchio ha iniziato a gonfiarsi, insomma la faccio breve, sono finita all'ospedale con un drenaggio tante lacrime e tanta paura. Da quel momento fori alle orecchie e orecchini banditi!

Poi a 18 anni, con un gesto che reputavo molto cool, mi sono fatta fare un buco nell'orecchio sinistro in alto, mia mamma non mi ha parlato per 3 giorni! Per anni ho continuato ad avere solo quell'orecchino, simbolo del mio mini tentativo di ribellione, poi poco dopo l'Erasmus ho deciso di farmi di nuovo i buchi ai lobi, e non ancora pienamente soddisfatta mi sono fatta fare anche i secondi. Da quel momento ho deciso di recuperare tutto il tempo perduto e mi sono lanciata in acquisti pazzi. Diciamo che ho attraversato varie fasi, la più ampia è stata quella etnica, avevo una collezione di anelli di cocco, perline e pietre dure. Poi sono passata alla fase minimalista, solo piercing a punta o barrette. Da un po' ho raggiunto un certo equilibrio e un certo gusto personale, più vario, ma nello stesso tempo selezionato.
Ecco i miei ultimi acquisti e alcuni bijoux che mi sono stati regalati.

1 - GOODQUEEN, Online Shop

I discovered this small accessories shop in my last trip to Rome, I think it's an amazing place where to buy funny and cute things without spending a lot of money, I'm definetively going to buy again in there!

Ho scoperto questo negozio per caso nel mio ultimo viaggio a Roma, curiosando nei pressi di via Condotti mi sono imbattuta in questa vetrina spiritosa e ho trovato tantissimi orecchini carini e divertenti e veramente a buon mercato, sicuramente un posto dove tornerò volentieri!

2 - ESCAT, via dell'Argentario 10 00184 Roma

One of my favorite area to visit in Rome has to be Monti, it's such an amazing neighborhood, full of nice edgy shops and cafes and fancy bars, you have to visit it if you ever go to Rome. My friend, that lives in Rome, took me to her favorite shop and as I step in there I fell in love with all the amazing jewels I saw. These two pieces are simply gorgeous, I've never seen anything like that before, so you actually own something unique, and I love that.

Uno dei miei quartieri preferiti a Roma è Monti, è semplicemente fantastico, pieno di negozietti particolari, bar popolarissimi e locali radical-chic. La mia amica, che vive a Roma, mi ha portato nel suo negozio preferito e io mi sono innamorata di quel posto appena ci ho messo piede. Queste due paia di orecchini sono semplicemente meravigliosi, non ho mai visto qualcosa di simile, praticamente si può dire di possedere qualcosa di veramente unico.

5 - A special gift from my girlfriends from Formentera. I love everything that's about butterflies.

Un regalo speciale da parte delle mie amiche, acquistato a Formentera. Adoro qualsiasi cosa che sia a forma di farfalla!

I found this earrings in the advent calendar made by my hubby, he's adorable!

Questi sono alcuni dei regalini che ho trovato nel calendario dell'avvento che mi ha preparato mio marito, adorabile!

8 - Gioielleria Agau via San Vitale 72 Bologna 

I love ethnic jewels and I found this amazing place here in Bologna that sells amazing silver earrings, some come from Bali, others from India, and I think these are very peculiar and unique, I really like them and I wear them all the time!

Adoro i gioielli etnici e ho trovato questa stupenda gioielleria qui a Bologna che vende questo tipo di orecchini,  i primi in particolare vengono da Bali, comunque ne hanno davvero per tutti i gusti ad un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. se siete nei paraggi fateci un salto!
