Lancome Beauty Set

Few days ago I posted a photo on Instagram (@SNOOP_AROUND) about this gorgeous Lancome Beauty Set that I got on sale (30% off!) at La Rinascente piazza Fiume in Rome (if you have the chance visit this classy shop in Rome) and I wanted to show you more in detail.

It comes in this luxurious red box with the Lancome rose symbol on it and tons of tiny little sparkly dots.

This set came out for Christmas 2013, but since it was on sale and the products are perfect for any time I decided to get it.

Qualche giorno fa ho postato su Instagram (@SNOOP_AROUND) la foto di questo meraviglioso cofanetto di Lancome che ho acquistato in saldo (30% in meno!) alla Rinascente di piazza Fiume a Roma (se ancora non ci siete mai stati e ne avete la possibilità fateci un salto, è molto bella!).

Oggi ve lo volevo far vedere un po' più nel dettaglio.

Il Beauty Set si presenta in questa bellissima scatola rossa con al centro la rosa simbolo di Lancome e tanti brillantini luccicanti. Il cofanetto è uscito per Natale 2013, ma visto che era in saldo tutti i prodotti all'interno sono adatti a qualsiasi stagione, ho deciso di acquistarlo.

The beauty bag that contains all the goodies is so nice and chic, it's very spacious and perfect for traveling (if you carry with you a lot of make up!). It's red and sturdy, it opens with two zips on the side, I really like it.

Il beauty case che racchiude al suo interno tutti i prodotti del set è davvero elegante e allo stesso tempo pratico. Rosso lucido, davvero spazioso, si apre con le zip ed è rigido, perfetto per viaggiare (almeno per chi si porta dietro un bel po' di trucchi!).

I'm so glad that I made this bargain (the original price was 95 euros and I got it for 66.50 euros, basically the eye palette price!). I know Lancome quality and I'm sure I'm going to use every product I found in this box. 

That's the good thing about this set, the make up is very portable and versatile, and the skincare goodies are awesome and I can't wait to try them out. 

Sono davvero contenta di aver fatto questo affare (prezzo originale 95 euro, prezzo in saldo 66,50 euro poco più del costo di una palette occhi), i prodotti Lancome sono davvero ottimi e userò sicuramente tutto. Questo è l'aspetto migliore di questo set, non ci sono prodotti adatti a qualcosa di troppo specifico, il make up è assolutamente portabile e versatile, così come lo struccante e le creme che sono davvero utili.

MAC Viva Glam Rihanna

It all started with a red lipstick, the Viva Glam lipstick. Since 1994 every cent of the selling price of Viva Glam lipstick and lipglass goes to support the Mac Aids Fund that was created to help men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS.

Every collection is created in collaboration with a celeb, the last one is Rihanna, who collaborated also for the last two limited edition collections (huge success).

Tutto è cominciato con un rossetto rosso, il Viva Glam lipstick i cui proventi (dal 1994) vanno al 100% a supporto del MAC Aids Fund, un fondo creato per aiutare uomini, donne e bambini affetti da HIV/AIDS.

Ogni collezione si caratterizza per la collaborazione con un personaggio famoso, l'ultima vede testimonial Rihanna anche grazie al grandissimo successo delle due sue collezioni Mac precedenti.

• Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick (0,1 oz 16 $) is described as "blue-red with finish frost". It didn't turn blue undertoned on my lips, actually it seemed to me more warm almost orangy, but maybe it's the finish frost, Iìm not sure. the pigmentation is incredible, one swipe and the color is vivid and intense. Nice on he lips, super easy to apply.
• Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick (3g 18,65 euro) viene descritto come un "rosso dal sottotono blu dal finish frost". Sulle mie labbra non ho notato questo tipo di sottotono blu, in realtà mi è sembrato virare più verso un sottotono caldo quasi tendente all'arancione, ma onestamente non so se questo sia determinato dal finish frost. La pigmentazione è incredibile, una sola passata e il colore è intensissimo. Piacevole sulle labbra, facile da applicare. 

• Viva Glam Rihanna Tinted Lipglass (0,17 oz 15 $) even this one is "blue-red finish frost", swatching it I found pink and gold glitters, it has medium coverage, anyway the color is vivid and intes for a gloss. It can be applied alone or n the top of the lipstick.
• Viva Glam Rihanna Tinted Lipglass (4,8g 18,15 euro) anche questo definito "rosso con sottotono blu e finish frost". Facendo gli swatches ho notato dei glitter rosa e dorati, la coprenza è media, comunque il colore è davvero intenso pur essendo un gloss. Può essere applicato da solo o sopra al rossetto.

Usually I don't buy Mac products, just because they come out with so many collections that I get confused on what do I actually like and need.

I'm a huge fan of their brushes (that I bought in NY durng my honeymoon, cause there are much more affordable than here in Italy) and the Mineralize Concealer really changed my make up routine.

I've always heard amazing things about their lipsticks and since I've tried desperately to get a Riri Woo with no success at all (obviously) as soon I got the email about Viva Glam I bought them online and I'm so glad I did!

Di solito non acquisto prodotti Mac, per il semplice fatto che escono con talmente tante collezioni che io rimango un po' confusa nel capire cosa mi piace e cosa mi serve. 

Sono una grande fan dei loro pennelli (che ho acquistato a NY in viaggio i nozze dove hanno un prezzo più accessibile) e il Mineralize Concealer mi ha davvero rivoluzionato la routine trucco. 

Ho sempre sentito parlare molto bene dei loro rossetti e visto che non sono mai riuscita ad acquistare Riri Woo appena mi è arrivata l'email della disponibilità dei Viva Glam sul sito non ho perso tempo e penso di aver fatto bene, sono particolari, pigmentati, intensi. Insomma mi piacciono molto!

New order on QVC: Bare Minerals Glisten Up and Lip Quickie

My last order on Qvc Italy is all Bare Minerals, a mineral make up brand that I simply adore!

I've chosen two very different  lips set.

The first one is the Glisten Up Kit, 3 Loud&Clear lipsticks in: Fuchsia Blast, Coral Pop and Raspberry Rhythm (price on Qvc Italy 33,70 euro).

They feel very buttery on the lips, just like a lip balm with a touch of color, very hydrating and soft.

They taste like vanilla and mint (if that make any sense) and they all have glitters inside.

I tend to prefer glosses than lipsticks, so these are just perfect for me, the only thing that lets me down a bit is that you have to remove them very carefully otherwise they will leave glitters all over your face. 

I don't think this happens whit all 3 of them, but I still haven't found the guilty one!

If you, just like me, like sheer colors for your lips these will do exactly the job, very easy to apply, one quick wipe and you are ready to go.

The swatches I did on my lips don't really give them justice. Using my front iphone camera with too much light in the room wasn't the greatest idea of all time, but anyway you get the point, they are very sheer but they look better in person and the colors are actually different.

Il mio ultimo ordine su Qvc è tutto Bare Minerals, una marca di make up minerale che adoro! 

Ho scelto questi due set di prodotti per labbra veramente diversi tra loro. 

Il primo kit è il Glisten Up, composto da 3 rossetti Loud&Clear nei colori: Fuchsia Blast, Coral Pop, Raspberry Rhythm (prezzo Qvc 33,70 euro)

L'effetto sulle labbra è quello di un balsamo/gloss sheer molto idratante, il sapore ricorda la vaniglia, sono tutti glitterati.

Io personalmente sono una più da gloss che da rossetto, quindi la texture di questi gel lipsticks mi piace molto, quello che non mi fa impazzire è che bisogna rimuoverli attentamente perchè lasciano glitter sparsi un po' dappertutto. Non succede con tutti e 3 i  rossetti, ancora non ho individuato il vero colpevole.

Se, come a me, vi piace la consistenza del balsamo per labbra con un velo di colore allora sono i rossetti giusti per voi, si applicano in un secondo, non necessitano di particolare precisione e lasciano le labbra idratate e scintillanti.

Gli swatches che ho fatto sulle labbra non rendono giustizia perchè c'era troppa luce e i colori sembrano confondersi tra di loro, il risultato è migliore di quello che si vede nelle foto.

The other one is the Lip Quickie Kit, it comes with a nice plum clutch with crocodile print and 5 mini lipsticks pens with retractable already sharpened tip (price on Qvc Italy 35,50 euro).

All the lipsticks are very pigmented, full coverage (one layer and you are good to go!), matte finish.

The sharpened tip makes them very easy to apply, anyway try to be more careful with the darker colors.

The colors in this kit are: Blush, Truffle, Mulberry, Crimson e Bordeaux. 

My favorite are the 3 darkest ones, the shade I think I'm going to wear less is Truffle, just because I'm not into brown lipsticks, I don't think they suite me very well.

A part from that i think they are amazing, love the shades and the pigmentation is insane!

Il secondo set è il Lip Quckie Kit, si compone di una pochette color vinaccia con stampa cocco e 5 mini rossetti a penna con punta retraibile (prezzo Qvc 35,50 euro).

Sono super pigmentati, coprenti (basta una passata!) e l'effetto sulle labbra è matte.

La forma a penna rende più facile l'applicazione, tuttavia, soprattutto con i colori più scuri, bisogna stare un po' più attenti.

I colori presenti in questo kit sono: Blush, Truffle, Mulberry, Crimson e Bordeaux. Le mie preferite sono le ultime 3, quella che credo porterò di meno è Truffle, solo perchè non sono una grande fan dei rossetti marroni.

A parte ciò li trovo stupendi, l'intensità dei colori e la loro pigmentazuone è incredibile!

Pupa Haul

Every time I need some inspiration for my blog I check my little notebook (yes I've a notebook where I put all my random ideas) and I noticed I've collected a lot of Pupa stuff to make a nice haul post.

Pupa is an italian make up brand, is actually the first make up I've ever bought because I was crazy about their palettes and gift sets, I use to get them for birthdays and Christmas.

After that I started feeling too "old" for their products so i stopped buying them for a while.

Pupa definitively renovate the whole make up line, they still keep making those lovely girly palettes, but now they have tons of products perfect for any age.

Another reason that brought me back to them is the fact that they really spoil their fans and clients with a lot of gifts, coupons and deals. That's something that (at least here in Italy) doesn't happen very often, so i'm very into this kind of initiative. 

Some of the products of this haul are from their permanent line and some are just from random past limited edition collections that I really liked.

Controllando nel mio quadernetto delle idee (ebbene sì ho un quaderno dove mi appunto tutte le cose che mi vengono in mente per il blog) mi sono accorta che non avevo ancora fatto un post su tutte le cosine della Pupa che ho comprato negli ultimi (non proprio ultimi) tempi.

Pupa è stata la prima marca di trucchi che ho acquistato, impazzivo per le loro trousse e speravo sempre di riceverle per il compleanno o a Natale. 

Poi passata quella fase ho iniziato a sentirmi troppo "grande" (per non dire vecchia ahaha!) per i loro prodotti, così ho smesso in toto di comprarli.

Pupa si è decisamente rinnovata da allora, continua a creare quelle trousse deliziose, ma ha una vasta gamma di prodotti adatti veramente a tutte le età.

Un altro motivo per cui mi sono riavvicinata a questo brand riguarda le promozioni che spesso lanciano tramite i social. Sono una delle poche case cosmetiche che premiano le loro clienti con coupon di sconto o prodotti in regalo e devo dire che queste iniziative mi piacciono moltissimo.

Alcuni dei prodotti fanno parte della loro linea permanente, mentre altri sono di collezioni limited edition che forse si possono trovare ancora negli outlet.

• I'm in love with Pupa's nail polishes, very good quality and reasonable price. There are so many types and colors. With some of their coupon I got these Gel Nail Polishes for 1 euro (incredible!), I chose colors that  felt missing in my nails polishes collection (038, 051, 052, 054). I also got two of their mani set, one is the Magnetic Art Kit Blue (10,10 euros) and the Luxury French Matte Green and Mirror Emerald (12 euros). cute and easy to apply.
• Adoro gli smalti di Pupa, hanno un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, ce ne sono moltissime varianti e mi trovo davvero bene. Grazie ai coupon ho acquistato questi smalti della linea Gel a 1 euro (038, 051, 052, 054), ho scelto colori che mancavano nella mia collezione e sono molto soddisfatta. In un altro momento ho acquistato due dei loro kit per manicure un po' più particolari, ho scelto il Magnetic Art Kit Blue (10,10 euro) e la Luxury French Matte Green and Mirror Emerald (12 euro), una rivisitazione della french con base opaca e lunetta brillante, carini pratici e anche divertenti da usare.

• Thanks to another deal I got the chance to try they Vamp! Eyeshadow for 5 euros each (normally they retail for 11,70 euros). I chose one baked eyeshadow n. 401 Dark Taupe and two cream ones n. 201 Antigua and n. 401 Iced Coffee, all very intense and pigmented.
• Sempre grazie ai coupon ho avuto la possibilità di provare i loro ombretti Vamp a 5 euro (di solito sono venduti a 11,70 euro). Ho scelto la versione in polvere compatta n. 401 Dark Taupe e due in crema n. 201 Antigua e n. 401 Iced Coffee, tutti molto pigmentati e scriventi. 

• From the 50's dream collection I chose this Ultra Shine Eyeliner n. 002 Intense Green (13,50 euros - spring 2013), love the bright teal color, I think it will go perfectly when I'll get a little bit of than this summer.
• Ho scelto questo Ultra Shine Eyeliner n. 002 Intense Green dalla collezione 50's Dream (13,50 euro -  primavera 2013) perchè adoro questo colore così intenso e brillante, perfetto per quando la pelle prenderà un po' di colore.

• The Vamp! mascara is defenitively one of Pupa's best selling product. It gives you the nice fake lashes effect that everyone dream about. It's a bit heavy and thick, but it works well and it stays on for hours. I chose it in  n. 301 Electric Blue e n. 200 Chocolate Brown (cause black it's way too boring, isn't it?).
• Il mascara Vamp! (12 euro) è sicuramente uno dei prodotti più amati della Pupa, regala quell'effetto ciglia finte che tutte noi sogniamo. E' sicuramente un mascara pesante e pastoso, ma fa il suo lavoro e resiste a lungo. Io l'ho scelto nelle varianti n. 301 Electric Blue e n. 200 Chocolate Brown (perchè dopo un po' che noia sempre il solito nero!).

• This type of lipstick is very popular at the moment, every make up brand sells it, but usually they tend to be quite sheer, I like them even sheer, but this time I was looking for a pop of color and that's why I like so much this Diamond Lipstick n. 02 Red della colelzione Art Deco (13,50 euro - Christmas 2012)
• Il matitone rossetto è stato proposto da tantissime case cosmetiche, spesso però i colori sono piuttosto trasparenti, mentre questo Diamond Lipstick n. 02 Red della colelzione Art Deco (13,50 euro - Natale 2012) è un'esplosione di colore. Stavo cercando proprio questo rosso intenso e brillante e mi piace moltissimo.
