A day with Les Envers

Few days ago I met with Sara Turatello (Les Envers designer and creator) at her lovely show room in Bologna to have a look at her A/W 2013 collection.

I first found out about Les Envers when I saw my friends wearing those bags and I felt in love with them, (in fact I own four of them that you can see here) so when I saw the A/W 2013 collection I was really impressed and I wanted to have a look at it in person.

Sara is really creative, and that's definitely something that you feel from her work, she actually often prefers to let her inspiration take control of what she's doing, and that's how all the crazy shapes and colors come alive.

Last year this happened with the Hat Bag that went sold out so quickly, mainly in other countries where people look for originality maybe more than in Italy.

This year is all about shapes, stars and clouds everywhere, glitters and metallic colors in contrast with more neutral and classic ones.

The bags are so soft and capacious, they combine design and functionality and they can totally change even the most casual or sporty look.

My favorite ones (besides the Popins) are definitely the ones with stars and clouds shape, I find them gorgeous and so peculiar.

Qualche giorno fa ho contattato Sara Turatello (Designer e ideatrice di Les Envers) per andarla a trovare nel suo graziosissimo show room a Bologna  e dare un'occhiata alla collezione A/I 2013 di Les Envers.

Ho scoperto queste borse tempo fa da alcune mie amiche e me ne sono innamorata, infatti ne posseggo ben 4 (le potete vedere qui) e quando ho visto su internet la nuova collezione sono rimasta davvero colpita e ho deciso di andare a curiosare.

Sara è davvero creativa, ed è sicuramente questa una delle cose che colpisce dei suoi lavori, spesso abbandona ciò che è più convenzionale e sicuro per spingersi e lasciarsi ispirare da forme e colori diversi e un po' pazzi.

L'anno scorso lo avevamo visto con la Hat Bag, che è andata sold out in pochissimo tempo ed è stata venduta principalmente all'estero dove probabilmente l'originalità viene premiata di più.

Quest'anno la stessa libertà di forme e colori la troviamo nelle stelle e nelle nuvole che decorano queste bellissime borse, nei glitter e nei colori accesi e metallici contrapposti a quelli più neutri e classici.

Le borse sono morbide e capienti, uniscono funzionalità e design e riescono a impreziosire anche un look casual e sportivo.

Le mie preferite (oltre alle Popins) sono sicuramente quelle con la chiusura a nuvola e a stella, le trovo davvero bellissime.

Clarins holidays gift set

Few days ago I posted a pic on Twitter of this Clarins gift set that I found in my advent calendar (made by my hubby <3) and I thought It's so cute I want to share it with you guys with a quick post.
It's the mini lips set by Clarins that has in this little pouch for mini size lip products:
- Baume Coleur Levres n. 02 Peach Nectar (7 ml)
- Gloss prestige n. 04 Candy (2,5 ml)
- Eclat Minut Embellisseur Levres n. 01 Rose Shimmer (5 ml)
- Rouge Eclat n. 13 Woodrose (1,4 g)

They all have different colors and textures, but all of them are very portable and smell delicious.

It's definitely a super cute gift, it allows you to try different lips products by Clarins in very useful travel sizes to carry with you also separately, as well as the tiny cute pouch that I'm currently using to put in some earrings and stuff like that.

Qualche giorno fa ho postato su Twitter la foto di uno dei regalini dell'avvento che mi ha preparato mio marito <3 quindi ho deciso di fare un brevissimo post per farvi vedere questo kit della Clarins che io trovo delizioso.

Si tratta del kit Collezione Labbra Scintillanti che contiene all'interno di una piccola trousse perlata quattro mini prodotti per le labbra:

Hanno colori e consistenze diverse, ma sono tutti portabilissimi e hanno dei profumi meravigliosi.
E' sicuramente un regalo molto carino, permette di provare più prodotti e di avere comode taglie da viaggio da portare con se anche separatamente, così come la trousse che io sto già usando per portarmi dietro qualche paio di orecchini etc.

Urban Decay: Shattered Face Case

The Shattered Face Case by Urban Decay is part of their last Holiday Collection.
As I said before I love this brand and I think I've a serious problem with palettes, I may need rehab for buying too many of them...
This palette has everything you need for a full make up look. It's small and compact but inside we have 5 eyeshadows (Nameless, Remix, Shakedown, Minor Sin, Bleach), 2 blushes (Overexposed, Temper), one highlighter (Glint), a travel size 24/7 glide on eye pencil (Zero) and a full size Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color (LoveChild).
The eyeshadows quality it's always impressive, maybe the lighter colors have a tiny bit less pigmentation, but maybe it's just that they kinda confuse with the color of my skin in the swatches, so I have to test them on my eyes to see if they work better.
There are 5 brand new shades, 3 satin, 1 microglittery and 1 matte, gorgeous colours perfect to create a more day look but even better to spice it up for a night out.
Even the blushes are really nice, I tend to prefer peachy tones, but I'm going to use also the baby pink one that goes better with purple eyeshadows.
As I said before I'm quite carefull with highligthing products since I've oily skin and I don't want to accentuate this "problem", but this one is very soft and I'm sure it will look good even on me!
The eye pencil needs no introduction, it's definitely a UD must have, amazing pigmentation and range of colours.
I've already tried the Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color, It came with the limited edition palettes inspired by Disney's Oz The Great And The Powerful (click here for my review).
I love this lip pencils, they are so soft and smooth, love the colours range and the pigmentation, so easy to apply. 
This one is full size so if you own an other one you can easily change it and put the one you prefer in your palette and carry it with you.
I'm huge fan of all in one palette and this one is no exception. I need just a travel size mascara and a concealer and I'm ready to go!

Finalmente disponibile anche in Italia da Sephora una delle palette della Holiday Collection di Urban Decay, la Shattered Face Case.
 Il mio amore incondizionato per questo brand è noto ai più e anche il mio serio problema di dipendenza da palette è, come dire, più che evidente.

Questa palette ha tutto quello che serve per un make up completo. Nel suo formato compatto contiene 5 ombretti (Nameless, Remix, Shakedown, Minor Sin, Bleach), 2 blush (Overexposed, Temper), un highlighter (Glint), una matita 24/7 (Zero) travel size e un Super-Saturated high gloss Lip Color (Lovechild) in taglia piena.
La qualità degli ombretti è sempre alta, forse trovo lievemente meno scriventi le due tonalità più chiare ma devo dire che si confondono entrambe con la mia carnagione e quindi devo provarle sugli occhi per poter verificare con esattezza. Sono 5 ombretti nuovi, 4 satinati e l'ultimo matte, sono perfetti per creare sia un trucco da tutti i giorni sia per un look più da sera, mi immagino degli smokey eyes stupendi.
Anche i blush sono nuovi e molto belli, per la mia carnagione preferisco quello pesca, ma utilizzerò sicuramente anche quello rosa.
L'highlighter è delicato, credo che possa star bene un po' a tutte le carnagioni, io devo ancora capire bene come applicarlo visto che ho una pelle mista, quindi si unge facilmente e non vorrei accentuare questo difettuccio.
L'eyeliner non necessita alcuna introduzione, è sicuramente uno dei prodotti per cui Urban Decay è più famosa, per la pigmentazione e il range di colori disponibili.
Il Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color ha fatto la sua prima apparizione nelle palette limited edition ispirate al film della Disney Oz The Great And The Powerful (che trovate in questo post). Personalmente lo trovo fantastico, non secca le labbra, i colori sono intensi e cremosi ed è facilissimo da applicare. Quello che si trova nella palette è un rosa dal sottotono freddo ed essendo in taglia piena si può facilmente sostituire con un altro lip color e la palette sarà sempre al completo.
Io sono una grande fan delle palette all in one, visto che viaggio spesso e non ho voglia di portarmi dietro mille borse e borsine, questa per me è fantastica, mi basta un mascara magari travel size, un correttore e sono a posto! Voi che ne pensate?

bareMinerals Perfect Ten

Since I travel quite a lot, I'm always looking for some all in one kit that contains all the make up I need to carry with me. And then yes I'm a palette freak, I bet you've already got that, right?

Perfect Ten By bareMinerals say it itself, it's perfect!

Inside we have 6 eyeshadows (One Hit Wonder, Ritzy, So Chic, Promise, Ooh La La, Keepsake), a blush (The Indecent Proposal), an highlighter (The Premiere), 2 moxie lipsticks (Make Your Move, Stand Out), a double ended blush and shadow brush and a lip brush.

All the eyeshadows are pigmented and soft, with different finish (shimmery, glittery and one mat) very wintery colours, perfect to combine for a day make up but also for a more intense look. 

The blush is very dark and intense for my fair skin but if you apply a small amount of it and blend it very well the result is very natural and nice.

I'm always scared to use highlighters, since I tend to have quite an oily skin, but I think I'm going to try this one, because it looks so natural, I'm sure it will work for me as well.

You can also remove the palette from the clutch and you can use it separately.
I love this palette, is sleek, classy, neat and I use it all the time!

Dato che viaggio spesso sono sempre alla ricerca di kit e palette che contengano tutto il necessario per un make up il più completo possibile. E poi si sono una malata di palette, lo ammetto, ma si era già capito no?!

Perfect Ten di bareMinerals se lo dice da sola, è perfetta!

All'interno ci sono 6 ombretti (One Hit Wonder, Ritzy, So Chic, Promise, Ooh La La, Keepsake), un blush (The Indecent Proposal), un illuminante (The Premiere), due rossetti moxie (Make Your Move, Stand Out) , un pennello a doppia punta e uno per labbra.

I colori sono davvero adatti a questa stagione, pigmentati e setosi, i finish e le tonalità si combinano per poter creare sia look naturali che più intensi. 

Il blush che pensavo troppo scuro per la mia carnagione chiarissima, se applicato con moderazione rende l'incarnato più vivo.
Ho sempre un po' paura ad applicare l'illuminante, visto che ho la pelle mista e detesto l'effetto lucido, ma in questo caso sento di poter fare un'eccezione mi sembra molto tenue e naturale. 

La palette si può anche estrarre e utilizzare la custodia separatamente.
Adoro questa palette, è compatta, i colori sono stupendi, la uso sempre!

Too Faced Jingle All The Way

The moment I saw this palette on Sephora's website I felt in love with it!

It's such a smart idea combining a palette with a cute Iphone 5 cover.

Jingle All the Way palette it's part of Too Faced holiday collection. The patterns are designed by celebrity decorator Mary Mcdonald, and they are so cute!

The palette is tiny, it has 9 small eyeshadow all glittery and shimmery, and 2 bigger ones with a matte finish perfect as a base, to blend in the crease and also to highlight inner eye corner and brow bone.

Pigmentation is good, I would put an eye primer anyway to fix the colour longer and make it more intense.

It's such a nice gift for Chrsitmas, is also perfect to carry it with you being so small, it allows you to create both natural and more intense looks. 

I really like it!

Appena ho visto questa palette sul sito di Sephora me ne sono innamorata! E' davvero un idea geniale, una palette e una cover per Iphone 5 insieme. 

Jingle All The Way palette fa parte della collezione per le feste di Too Faced in collaborazione con Mary McDonald, famosa interior designer americana, che ha curato i patterns dei packaging di questa collezione.

E' una palette davvero piccola, contiene 9 ombretti più piccolini dai finish glitter e shimmer, 2 invece un po' più grandi matte perfetti come base, per sfumare e anche come punto luce. 

Ci sono anche un bronzer con dei micro glitter dorati e un blush rosa acceso.

La pigmentazione è buona, consiglio comunque di applicare gli ombretti con sotto un primer per aumentarne la durata e renderli più intensi.

E' sicuramente un regalo molto carino per Natale, è perfetta da portare con se in viaggio e ha una discreta varietà di colori e finish per poter creare sia un make up naturale che uno più intenso e colorato. Mi piace molto!

Makeup Delight Tour with Deborah Milano

Bologna was the last of the meetings organized by Giuliana aka Makeup Delight with Deborah Milano for the Delightful tour, and I couldn't miss it!

I'm a huge fan of Makeup Delight, I follow her on Youtube and I really like her videos, but you never know if the person behind the camera is real or not.

It was amazing finding out that Giuliana is actually a super nice and kind person, funny and self-ironic. 

Giuliana and Makeup Delight are exactly the same, even after the success, the book, the collaboration with Deborah Milano, the palette she made with Neve Cosmetics, she's just skinnier and more beautiful in real life than in her videos!

Few minutes after she arrived she chose a girl from all her fans that came to meet her, and she started to do her make up chatting with everybody.

Then came the lucky winner of the 54 eyeshadow set by Deborah Milano, I would have won all that so bad!

Bologna è stata l'ultima tappa del Delightful Tour, gli incontri di Giuliana aka Makeup Delight organizzati in collaborazione con Deborah Milano e io non potevo mancare!

Seguo Makeupdelight da tempo su Youtube, mi sono sempre piaciuti i suoi video, ma non si può mai effettivamente sapere se il video rispecchia la realtà, oppure è un'immagine costruita.

E' stato davvero bello scoprire una persona davvero carinissima, simpatica e auto-ironica, insomma la Giuliana dei video è quella della realtà nonostante il successo, il libro, la palette da lei creata con Neve Cosmetics, è solo molto più magra e bella dal vivo!

Appena arrivata ha preso a caso una ragazza tra le tante fan sfegatate venute ad incontrarla e ha cominciato a truccarla chiacchierando con lei e con tutti.

Poi è arrivata la fortunata vincitrice del kit messo in palio da Deborah Milano, ben 54 ombretti full size, che avrei tanto voluto vincere io!
