I love palettes: Vice by Urban Decay

My last purchase is the Vice Palette, I finally got it in one of my last quick trip to Rome. I went shopping with a friend that fell in love with this palette as well, so she bought one for herself and she keeps telling me how she's having fun playing with the eyeshadows. In fact the main feature of this palette is the range of colors and the possibility of creating different looks, from very intense to more natural, since we get also some nude shades. 
The packaging is very nice and neat as usual, sleek and decorated with the UD logo. It opens with a pop-open clip that reveals a huge mirror inside, that stand up on its own.
Inside we have 20 new shades, most of them are satin finish, except for some matte and some glittery ones, plus we have also a double eye brush, one end it's for applying the color and the other one it's perfect for blending.
The price of the Vice palette is 59$, not a bad deal for 20 eyeshadows!
For whom starts to think which one is better between the Vice and the two Naked 1/2, I suggest to think about your own style. Both of the Naked palettes, which I couldn't live without, offer a variety of nude, portable shades, easy to combine for a simple and chic day look or a more intense smokey eyes.
The Vice, has a different range of colors instead, brights and sparkling, perfect for an edgy look, but it has also few neutral shades that could be easily used for a more portable make up.
Overall the quality of UD eyeshadows is amazing, they are highly pigmented, very nice and smooth, easy to apply and play with, so I totally recommend The Vice palette.
Have you already seen the Naked "daughters"?I'm talking about the Naked Basics and the Naked Flushed, in Italy they are not available yet, but I hope I'll find them in Sephora soon cause I'm really curious to try them out!

Il mio ultimo acquisto è la tanto agognata Vice Palette, sono riuscita ad accaparrarmela in uno dei miei ultimi viaggetti a Roma. L'amica che era con me, contagiata dal mio entusiasmo, ha deciso di farsi un regalo e l'ha presa anche per se, e non smette più di dirmi quanto le piaccia e quanto si diverta a giocare con i colori. Perchè in effetti è questa la caratteristica principale della Vice, la possibilità di creare tantissimi look avendo a disposizione una notevole gamma cromatica. 

Il packaging è curato come al solito, piacevole al tatto, decorato con le iniziali della casa cosmetica in rilievo. Si apre premendo un pulsante che svela il contenuto a rallenty permettendo di visualizzare anche il grande specchio di cui la palette è dotata.
All'interno abbiamo 20 nuovi ombretti, dal finish prevalentemente satinato, fatta eccezione per alcuni colori opachi e alcuni glitterati, e un pennello a doppia punta, una piatta per applicare l'ombretto ed una per sfumare.
Il costo della Vice palette è di euro 45,90, non male per 20 ombretti!
A chi inizia a chiedersi quale palette sia meglio acquistare tra le Naked 1/2 (che potete visionare in questo post precedente) e la nuova Vice consiglio di pensare al proprio stile e ai propri gusti. Infatti sono palette essenzialmente differenti, le Naked offrono una notevole gamma di colori neutri, portabili, con la possibilità di optare per trucchi più intensi o smokey ma sempre sui toni del marrone, grigio o nero. La Vice, invece, con una gamma cromatica estesa permette di creare look più colorati ed intensi, mantenendo al suo interno anche qualche tonalità nude.
A mio parere la qualità di Urban Decay non delude, la pigmentazione e la scrivenza degli ombretti è davvero buona, quindi mi sento di consigliarla senza riserve!
Avete già visto le ultime "figlie" della Naked? Si tratta di una palette di opachi e di una palette contenente bronzer, blush e illuminante. Purtroppo non le ho ancora trovate da Sephora, ma sono curiosissima di provarle!

New entry: Mou Boots

I was thinking that I used to hate this type of boots, I hated the shape and they looked awful to me... then a friend of mine asked me if I ever tried them on and when I did I totally fell in love with them. 

I started with classic UGG chocolate boots that I got from a friend of mine travelling back home from NY, but I wore them so much that they needed to be substituted! So I decided to try MOU. 
Before going straight to shopping I wanted to get some info, so I browsed their website and I found out a very interesting story behind the whole inspiration of this warm boots.

If you have them you know that it seems to wear comfy hot slippers (I actually put my slippers under the heater when it's cold outside, do you do that? Anyway when you put your MOU Boots on it's pretty the same sensation!). Even though I love high heels I'm more a sneakers/bikers/boots kind of woman, I leave the stilettos for those rare occasions when I'm kinda forced to wear them, guys if you know any trick to get some relieve from feet pain please leave a comment below, I would really appreciate it!

Anyway I went for this Eskimo grey MOU with white contrast seam and I made a bargain, because usually they are sold for 239 euro and I found them on this online shop of a famous italian store Folli Follie for 145 euro (now you can find them for 125 euro!) and I love them, I pare them with some simple skinny jeans or leggings and I face this super cold winter much better!

E pensare che detestavo questo tipo di stivali che consideravo informi e orribili... poi una mia amica mi ha chiesto se li avessi mai provati ed è scattato il colpo di fulmine.  Sono partita dai classici UGG color cioccolato che mi hanno portato una coppia di amici tornando da un viaggio a NY, ma li ho usati talmente tanto che avevano bisogno di un sostituto e ho deciso di passare ai MOU. Prima di lanciarmi nello shopping ho deciso di informarmi un po' e sono andata a curiosare sul sito e ho trovato davvero interessante l'ispirazione che sta alla base di questi caldissimi stivali.

Se  li avete saprete anche che sembra di indossare delle ciabatte appena tolte da sotto il termosifone (lo fate mai? Io d'inverno ho una collezione di ciabatte sparse ad assorbire calore) e sono davvero comodissimi. Anche se adoro i tacchi, sono una che alterna tra sneakers, bikers e stivali, i tacchi li lascio a quelle rare occasioni in cui sono quasi costretta a metterli, se conoscete qualche trucco per sopportare il mal di piedi lasciatemi un commento, sarà graditissimo!

Comunque alla fine ho optato per questi Eskimo Mou grigi con le cuciture a contrasto bianche e grigie, e ho fatto un discreto affare visto che normalmente li vendono a 239 euro e io sullo shop online di Folli Follie li ho trovati a 145 euro (adesso alcuni modelli sono a 124 euro!!!) con spedizione veloce e gratis e mi piacciono moltissimo, li indosso con semplici skinny jeans o leggins e affronto sicuramente meglio il gelo bolognese.

Glossy Box di dicembre e ... auguri in ritardo!

Sono qui in casa che faccio i conti con le abbuffate natalizie e la prima influenza del 2013 e ho pensato di vincere la pigrizia facendovi vedere con un po' di ritardo l'ultima Glossy Box.

Intanto questa box rispecchia in pieno le ie esigenze di affamata di make up, quindi non posso che lodare il Glossy Team per il lavoro fatto. Il packaging sempre curato e studiato è silver questa volta, e all'interno troviamo una cartolina piena di stelle.

Il prodotto bonus sono un paio di ciglia finte firmate Glossy Box, io sono una frana ad applicarle e per questo non le acquisto mai, quindi queste saranno perfette per fare un po' di pratica!

- Emi Heater Intense Bio Repair

- Naj Oleari Make Up Pochette, questo è sicuramente il "pezzo forte" della box, una pochette sbrilluccicosa che contiene al suo interno uno smalto rosso, un gloss trasparente glitterato e glitter anche nell'ombretto nero, un trucco perfetto per le feste e per una girls night out.

Glossy Box davvero soddisfacente questa volta, quindi speriamo che si mantenga questo livello e che si vada sempre migliorando!
Gli auguri arrivano parecchio in ritardo, ma le feste assorbono tutte le mie energie, tra pasti luculliani, regali dell'ultimo minuto e perenne ricerca dell'outfit perfetto.
