The Isabel Marant pour H&M was released on the 14th of november and, just like for every other famous stylist collection in collaboration with this brand, everybody was freaking out and had huge expectations.
The few items available and the selling method itself contribute to generate and increase the hype and make all fashionistas desire to own at least one thing.
How does it work?
At 7 o' clock in the morning, in selected H&M stores, they start to distribute wristbands with different colors. Every color allows you to access at a certain time the restricted area where the collection is available.
The sale starts at 9 o' clock and you have only 10 minutes to take what you like. Then you can try things on if you want, but you are allowed to buy only one item per size and kind.
I'm not a super fan of such crowded situation, people usually get really stressed and rude, that's why I try to take all the info I can get before and then I make up my mind about facing the shopping hysteria.
The whole collection comes out on internet and magazines few months earlier, I keep watching pictures over and over to decide if I like something or not.
I set a budget, that's the most important thing to do if you get easily confused and carried away by the "I MUST HAVE IT" frenzie.
If you don't trust yourself in this situations you can just put the exact amount of money in your wallet and take off all your credit/debt cards so you won't be able to cheat and you won't regret it later.
You must remember that even if it's a famous designer collection it doesn't mean that every item has great quality or that everything is wereable, cause most of the time it's actually the opposite, some clothes may be made of cheap material or may be really weird and unconfortable after you put them on.
If you are not sure on what to invest your money on, you can find inspiration in fashion magazine and websites that usually suggest all the must have pieces of the collection.
I got the wristband for the third group, but the problem is that people without the access to the shopping area ask who's inside to take stuff for them, so it may happen that you don't get what you want cause it's already gone after the first turn.
Be patient and understand that it's not the end of the world if you can't put your hands on that special thing, you might be lucky and find it for a reasonable price on Ebay few months later!
I suggest you to wear confortable clothes such as leggings and flats, something you can easily take off fast.
I really wanted the fringe boots, statement piece of the whole collection, but I saw them taken by an other girl in my group, cause we both have cinderella's feet (size 9 lol). I got frustrated so I decided to try on other stuff and the second before my time ended I found a size 8 in which I squeezed my feet in.
I'm still unsure If I did the right thing buying them, so I'm thinking about maybe selling them to a friend or online, but they are so beautiful that I need time to clear up my mind.

Il fatto che i pezzi disponibili siano pochissimi e la stessa modalità di vendita aumenta a dismisura il desiderio di possedere qualcosa della collezione.
Come funziona?
Dalle 7 del mattino davanti al negozio vengono distribuiti dei braccialetti che hanno colori diversi a seconda della fascia oraria a cui corrispondono. La vendita vera e propria inizia alle 9, ogni gruppo col braccialetto corrispondente ha accesso all'area dove sono esposti i vari pezzi della collezione e si hanno a disposizione 10 minuti per scegliere cosa prendere e cosa provare. Al momento dell'acquisto si può prendere solo un capo per tipo e taglia.
Io non amo particolarmente queste situazioni, non mi piace la ressa e nemmeno l'atteggiamento della maggior parte delle persone che diventano vere e proprie iene, perciò mi informo sempre molto prima di decidere se andare al massacro o no.
Qualche mese prima la collezione viene divulgata su internet e sui giornali di moda, io la guardo e la riguardo più volte prima di decidere se c'è qualcosa che per me vale la pena di prendere.
Ovviamente stabilisco un budget oltre il quale non voglio andare, vi assicuro che è meglio avere le idee chiare a costo di mettersi nel portafoglio solo i soldi che si vogliono spendere, perchè in quel momento l'adrenalina prevale sulla lucidità e si rischia di acquistare molto più di quello che si vuole o si può e magari anche cose che non sono poi così indispensabili o belle.
Per quanto siano collezioni di stilisti famosi la qualità non è sempre scontata e nemmeno la portabilità dei capi stessi, spesso parecchio fantasiosi e strani.
Molti siti e giornali di moda selezionano alcuni capi must have, quindi se non sapete bene cosa scegliere potete prendere spunto.
Io sono riuscita ad avere il braccialetto per il terzo gruppo, ma il problema è che spesso c'è chi da fuori chiede all'amica, ma anche alla sconosciuta, di prendere cose anche per lei, oppure c'è chi prova tutto tanto per fare. Armatevi di santa pazienza, non è la fine del mondo se non riuscite a trovare quello che volete. Dopo un po' di mesi quando tutta l'agitazione è ormai dimenticata troverete tutto a prezzi abbordabili su Ebay.

Per quanto mi riguarda io volevo solo gli stivali, ma il mio numero (41 da cenerentola) l'ha preso un'altra ragazza iin gruppo con me. Desolata ho arraffato cose a caso e poi per pura fortuna è tornato un 40 in cui sono riuscita a strizzare i piedi.
Per il momento sono ancora lì nella busta col cartellino, devo decidere se rivenderli o meno e ci sto pensando molto, visto che sono stupendi, e le collezioni normali di Isabel Marant costano tantissimo.
