Martina Mancini Creations

I found out about Martina Mancini browsing facebook, I saw some of her creations on Chiara Biasi's page and I felt in love with them, so I decided to contact her to buy two bracelets.
I wrote a post about her (that you can find here) and she also was so kind to answer some of my question for an easy interview for Snoop Around.
I simply adore her work, her jewelry is so unique and beautiful, I love that she combines very different materials such as classy elegant Swarowsky crystals and edgy rock pointy studs and zippers.
So when I found out, I got two more for my birthday. I was super excited!

Ho scoperto Martina Mancini grazie a Facebook, ho visto alcune delle sue creazioni indossate da Chiara Biasi e me ne sono subito innamorata, tanto che le ho scritto subito per poter acquistare alcuni dei suoi bracciali.

Le ho dedicato un post (che potete trovare qui) e lei è stata così carina da concedermi una breve intervista.

Trovo che i suoi lavori siano davvero bellissimi e originali, adoro l'accostamento dei diversi materiali che utilizza, il fatto che abbini cristalli eleganti ad elementi sicuramente più rock come le zip e le borchie.

Così quando ho ricevuto in regalo (sempre per il mio compleanno) due nuovi bracciali sono stata felicissima!

The first one is called Baroque Rock Studs Liberty, is probably my favourite among the ones I have.

It's made in transparent pvc with Swarowsky crystal and silver pointy studs all hand sewed .

I love it! I love the huge blu crystal in the middle and I love how the transparency of the bracelets balances the decoration's complexity.

Il primo, il Baroque Rock Studs Liberty, è probabilmente il mio preferito tra quelli che possiedo.

E' in pvc trasparente con cristalli Swarowsky e borchie a punta argentate cuciti a mano.

Mi piace moltissimo, adoro la pietra blu al centro della decorazione e il fatto che l'importanza dei disegno dei cristalli sia sdrammatizzato dalla trasparenza del pvc.

The other one is the Python Black Rock Studs, a black snake print bracelets with dark yellow Swarowsky crystals and gold pointy studs.
Even this one it's so beautiful, the contrast between the polished black and the yellow decorations, the snake print makes it even more interesting and edgy.

Il secondo è il Python Black Rock Studs, un bracciale a stampa pitone nero lucido con cristalli Swarowsky giallo scuro, borchie a punta dorate e cerniere laterali.
Anche questo lo trovo bellissimo, mi ha colpito subito il contrasto tra il nero del bracciale e il giallo delle decorazioni e la stampa serpente lo rende ancora più particolare.

I usually wear these bracelets both with elegant and casual looks, even if you put together a very simple outfit these bracelets can definitively spice it up.

Chanel Les 4 Ombres 234 Poésie

In this post I'd like to talk about another one of my birthday present (my birthday was ages ago, if you would like to have an idea of all my gifts check the picture here and I promise I will try to write a post about Christmas gift before at least Easter LOL).

It's an eyeshadow limited edition palette by Chanel, the n. 234 Poesie.

This is not my first Chanel eyeshadow palette but it's the best quality one for sure.

They must have reformulated the eyeshadows, because the old ones were too much powdery in my opinion.

The eyeshadows in this palette instead have an amazing texture, every colour is intense and buttery, pigmented and super easy to apply and blend.

I really fell in love with this one and I use it so much, the colour combination is perfect for a casual every day make up look but also for a more intense and bold one.

It has a medium bronze (wich is my favourite), a light beige, a light pink and a dark plum.

The packaging is super elegant as usual, the palette comes in the black velvet pouch with the Chanel logo on it.

As I told you already in this case the price actually match the quality of this product, so if you like the colours and you want to buy a really nice gift for yourself, I highly recommend it!

In questo post volevo parlarvi di un altro dei make up regali che ho ricevuto il mio compleanno (che è stato secoli fa, se volete avere un'idea di tutto quello che ho ricevuto cliccate qui e promesso prima di Pasqua riuscirò anche a parlare di quelli di Natale... forse!).

E' una palette di ombretti in edizione limitata di Chanel, la n. 234 Poesie.

Questa non è l'unica palette di Chanel che possiedo, ma è sicuramente la migliore in termini di qualità.

Hanno riformulato gli ombretti che prima risultavano a mio parere troppo polverosi.

In questa palette invece la texture è fantastica, ogni colore è intenso e burroso, pigmentato e facilissimo da stendere e da sfumare.

Me ne sono davvero innamorata e la uso tantissimo sia per un look da tutti i giorni che per uno più sofisticato, da sera.

I colori vanno dal bronzo chiaro (il mio preferito), al beige panna, al rosa chiaro e infine al prugna.

Il packaging è come sempre davvero elegante, la palette è protetta dalla custodia in velluto con il logo Chanel in rilievo.

Come ho già detto in questo caso il prezzo e il brand corrispondono alla qualità del prodotto, quindi se vi piace la gamma cromatica e volete farvi un bel regalo ve la consiglio sicuramente!

Urban Decay Pulp Fiction palette

Urban Decay came out with a limited edition collection dedicated to Pulp Fiction by Quentin Tarantino, the cult movie celebrated this year its 20th anniversary.

The whole collection is inspired by Mia Wallace iconic character, ex actress married to Marcellus Wallace one of the small boss of LA, which is played by the beautiful Uma Thurman.

Urban Decay ha dedicato una collezione limited edition al cult movie Pulp Fiction di Quentin Tarantino, che quest'anno ha celebrato il suo ventesimo anniversario.

Tutta la collezione è ovviamente ispirata all'iconico personaggio di Mia Wallace, ex attrice esordiente sposata al piccolo boss di Los Angeles Marcellus Wallace, interpretata dalla bellissima Uma Thurman.

In the palette we have four eyeshadows, but one is actually split in two with two different colours.

It has also a quite large mirror and a small double ended brush.

It's definitively a nude palette, with creams and brow colours, all of them as usual very pigmented and buttery.

We have mainly matte finish with some slightly satin ones.

You will also find a card that comes with the palette to recreate Mia Wallace's look, but of course you can play with the colours as you like and create your own make up.

Even if it's a nude palette you can easily intensify the make up by using the darkest shades and pull of a nice night out look.

La palette contiene quattro cialde di ombretti, di cui una divisa in due con due diversi colori, uno specchio piuttosto ampio ed un pennello a punta doppia.

Gli ombretti sono un mix di tonalità nude, dal panna, al marrone al nero.

Sono come sempre pigmentati e setosi, i finish sono matte o leggermente satinati e all'interno della confezione si trova anche una card con le istruzioni per ricreare il look di Mia Wallace.

Ovviamente il look è totalmente personalizzabile, nonostante la prevalenza di tonalità neutre si può facilmente realizzare anche un make up più intenso e da sera.

MAC Viva Glam Rihanna 2

MAC Viva Glam Rihanna 2 came out in September, but it's still available in MAC stores and online.

As every Viva Glam product, 100% of the profits goes to Mac Aids Fund, so you may want to check it out and buy it for a good cause (remember also that World Aids day was last week).

This time they chose a peculiar color, really different from what you could expect for a Viva Glam to be.

The lipstick it's a cool toned dark brown with some silver. bronze and mauve hint in it.

It has a frosty metallic finish and it feels a little bit dry and patchy when you apply it.

I must say I still don't know how to pull it of, my favorite look is the one created by Nikkie Tutorials (if you don't know her, she is a super young and talented make up artist).

It's very intense and technically challenging, but very interesting.

A settembre è uscito il secondo Viva Glam in collaborazione con Rihanna, lo trovate ancora disponibile nei MAC store e sul sito web.

Come tutti i prodotti Viva Glam ogni profitto della vendita viene donato al Mac Aids Fund, quindi fateci un pensierino visto che è passato da poco il World Aids Day.

Questa volta il colore è davvero particolare e diverso da quello che ci si potrebbe aspettare dai Viva Glam, che essendo un cosmetico venduto per beneficenza solitamente propone delle tonalità piuttosto portabili proprio al fine di ottenere più acquirenti possibili.

In questo caso, invece, si tratta di un rossetto marrone scuro con qualche accenno di bronzo, argento, e malva. Ha un sottotono freddo, il finish è frost e metallico.

Devo ammettere che ancora non ho capito bene come portarlo, sicuramente il look che mi piace di più è quello ideato da Nikkie Tutorials (se ancora non la conoscete è una make up artist giovanissima e bravissima), molto intenso e tecnicamente impegnativo, ma comunque molto interessante.

The lipglass is very sheer except for a greysh tint and some pink and silver sparkles in it.

If you wear it on its own you won't see much, I prefer to put it on top of the lipstick for a nice glossy iridescent finish.

Il gloss è praticamente trasparente fatta eccezione per una venatura grigia e rosa data dai glitter di questi due colori.

Sicuramente da solo non colpisce particolarmente, è meglio abbinarlo al rossetto per un effetto glossy iridescente.

Recently MAC announced the new Viva Glam collaboration for 2015, that will be featuring Miley Cyrus and should be out on January.

From the picture it looks like a vibrant magenta lipstick and fuchsia lipglass, amazing colors in my opinion, so i can't wait to try them out!

Recentemente MAC ha annunciato il nuovo Viva Glam per il 2015, che vedrà la collaborazione con Miley Cyrus.

Dalla foto il rossetto sembra un intenso magenta e il lipglass un fuchsia vibrante, davvero stupendi, non vedo l'ora di provarli!

Lucky birthday girl

My birthday was months ago, but thanks to my slowness and busy schedule, I'm, talking about it right now.

I really would like to review all the gifts I've got since most of them are make up products and accessories (they know me really well) so with this quick post I'd like to take the opportunity to thank everyone, my husband, family and friends for being so amazing and I'm going to talk about everything you see in this lovely photo I've just edit with a new collage app I randomly found!

Il mio compleanno è stato mesi fa, ma con la mia lentezza ve ne parlo solo adesso!

Vorrei soprattutto cogliere l'occasione per pubblicare alcune reviews, visto che ho ricevuto soprattutto make up e accessori (mi conoscono davvero bene...!) quindi colgo l'occasione per ringraziare tutti marito,famiglia e amici per essere sempre stupendi, e parlerò di tutto quello che vedete nella foto (che ho appena creato usando un'app trovata per caso) nei prossimi post!

Alexander Wang x HM

I consider my self shopaholic enough to wake up in the middle of the night to get in the queue for HM special capsule collection (as I previously did here), but this time I couldn't be asked to deal with all the stress and crazyness you have to face in those kind of situation, so I decided to have a look online.

I had already studied every piece and every price, but still I wasn't 100% sure whether I liked something or not, and I knew how difficult would have been entering the website.
The web sale started at 10 and the website crashed in few seconds, this capsule collection was so popular that everyone was trying to get a piece of it!
I was disappointed for a few minutes but then one hour later the website was on again and I was able to get in queue, which basically means that you could wait for ever and not be able to buy anything or you could be so lucky to be redirected to the shop.
Well I was lucky! I was able to get into the shop online and everything was still available.
At the beginning I was a little but then I focused on what I really liked and needed and set a budget to avoid compulsive shopping.
So that's what I've got:

Nonostante io sia abbastanza shopaholic da presentarmi in fila al negozio alle 5 del mattino per le capsule collection di HM (come ho già fatto qui), questa volta complice la mia pigrizia e la mia titubanza in merito alla collezione, ho deciso di evitare la sveglia all'alba e provare a dare un'occhiata online.

Come sempre avevo già studiato catalogo e prezzi una decina di volte, non avevo ancora un'idea precisa sulle cose da acquistare, e pensavo che accedere allo shopping online sarebbe stato quanto meno molto difficile.

Infatti all'ora x (ossia le 10 in punto) il sito era down, probabilmente per l'assalto di richieste e collegamenti.

Dopo aver pensato che ormai era fatta, il sito ha ripreso a funzionare circa un'oretta dopo e sono finita in coda virtuale. Memore dello sciacallaggio a cui sono sottoposte queste capsule collection di stilisti super famosi ho pensato che avrei trovato il deserto se mai fossi riuscita ad entrare.

Invece aggiornando saltuariamente, tra un click ed un altro, sono riuscita ad entrare e la collezione era tutta disponibile.

Dopo lo shock iniziale mi sono calmata e ho deciso razionalmente cosa mi piacesse e cosa no, cosa mi potesse servire e cosa assolutamente no, e ancora più importante il tetto massimo di spesa per evitare acquisti impulsivi.

STYLE BOARD

I put together a few ideas on how to style the T-Shirt dress.

The first look is more edgy and rocker, with the leather jacket, the combat boots and the mono earring.

The other one is more sporty, I really like the wedge sneakers, super comfy, the faux fur jacket and the logo beanie, such a statement piece.

The last one is more classy and elegant, with the long black coat, the clutch, the ankle boots, the jewelry and the lovely cat ears beanie.

I must say I loved creating the style board, it was so much fun! I hope it gives you some inspiration to personalize your own style!

Ho messo insieme alcune idee su come indossare il T-Shirt dress, da un look più rocker con la giacca di pelle, gli anfibi e il bauletto, ad uno più sportivo con le sneaker wedges, un giubbotto con eco pelliccia e beanie con il logo, ma anche uno stile più elegante con un lungo cappotto a doppiopetto, ankle boots dal tacco sottile, una clutch particolare, un beanie spiritoso alcuni gioielli vistosi.

Devo ammettere che mi sono divertita tantissimo a creare questa style board, spero che possa essere d'ispirazione per personalizzare il vostro look!

Advent Calendar for Christmas 2014

When I was just a little girl (actually not much has changed since then) I was so excited for Christmas coming along and even more for the advent calendar my mom used to buy for me.

I loved to open all the boxes, the ones that had only nice little picture behind the paper door, and the ones with cute tiny presents or chocolates.

Now advent calendar went on a total new other level, I'm talking about the beauty themed ones, that are all girls object of desire.

In this post I'm going through a few option that you can buy and I will also give you some advice on creating your very own advent calendar (hint for partners, parents etc.).

Quando ero piccolina (in realtà non sono cambiata molto...!) aspettavo con ansia come tutti il periodo delle feste, e adoravo il calendario dell'avvento, sia che fosse quello con semplici immagini da scoprire aprendo le caselline, sia quello più sfizioso con qualche mini sorpresa o cioccolatino.

All this beauty calendar are incredibly tempty and beautiful, but very impersonal at the same time.

To make one on your own, you need only to buy an empty advent calendar and be creative finding all the gifts you will put in it.

There are many options such as the wooden ones with house or train shape, or the ones made with festive fabric, with all the pockets in which you can put all of your mini presents.

If you want to be even more creative you could buy 24 mini paper bag (Ikea sells them for a very low price), put numbers on them and place them all around your house to start a treasure hunt.

To fill all 24 days with treats without spend a lot of money you could write nice messages, buy some chocolates and snacks pack, and then maybe choose a few special gift to put in some particular day.

Accessorize and H&M offer a wide range of earrings studs set and cute rings set that you can split to fill more pockets, or you can find beauty set or sample-size set also to split in more days.

This way you won't get broke and you will have a lovely result for sure.

Tutti questi beauty calendar sono indubbiamente bellissimi, ma anche abbastanza impersonali.

Per crearne uno personalizzato basta scegliere un calendario d'avvento "vuoto", ci sono tantissime opzioni, troverete quelli in legno, fatti a casetta o a treno per esempio, e quelli in stoffa con tante taschine per mettere all'interno i regalini.

Si possono anche usare 24 sacchettini, numerarli con degli adesivi o a mano e poi spargerli per la casa come una caccia al tesoro.

Per riempire il calendario senza spendere una fortuna potete anche scrivere dei messaggi di affetto, comprare cioccolatini in confezione risparmio al supermercato, e magari scegliere alcuni regali un po' più speciali da mettere in giorni particolari.

Da Accessorize o H&M troverete ad esempio set di orecchini e anelli carinissimi ed economici da poter dividere in più giorni del calendario, oppure potete dividere dei kit di prodotti beauty, magari anche dei campioncini.
