The new DC Comics movie dedicated to Diana Prince, aka Wonder Woman, just released in theaters
and that's why a few limited edition makeup collections came out as well to celebrate this cult heroine.
In Italy I could only find the Maybelline collection on Amazon (approximately € 50), which came in a fun box with the old comic design and inside it contains:
Con l'uscita nelle sale del nuovo film DC Comics dedicato a Diana Prince, alias Wonder Woman, sono uscite alcune collezioni in edizione limitata ispirate a questa eroina cult del mondo dei fumetti e delle serie televisive.
In Italia è disponibile solo la collezione in edizione limitata di Maybelline che trovate su Amazon (50 € circa).
La confezione esagonale di cartone riprende la grafica del fumetto DC Comics degli anni 40 e al suo interno contiene:
- 6 Vivid Matte Liquid lipsticks
n. 40 Wonder Woman Love
n. 5 Wonder Woman Mum
n. 35 Wonder Woman Me
n. 15 Wonder Woman Friend
n. 30 Wonder Woman Sister
These are liquid lipsticks, with a semi matte finish.
The texture is very creamy, almost moussy on the lips, and light.
Being semi matte means that they don't dry and they are not transfer proof, so for example when you drink, eat or kiss some products will definitively come off, but not completely, it leaves quite a strong stain but it remains really comfortable on the lips.
The only down side is the scent, they all smell really heavily of sun lotion and bubble gum (at least for me) and I really dislike it, plus they don't taste great.
The shades included in this collection are pretty vivid and intense, mainly reds and fuchsia, there is only one nude which is a mauvy pink.
Sono rossetti liquidi semi opachi, hanno una texture molto cremosa, sembra quasi una mousse sulle labbra, molto leggera.
Essendo semi matte non si asciugano e non seccano le labbra, d'altro canto ovviamente non sono transfer proof, quindi se mangiate, bevete o baciate lo strato superiore viene via facilmente, lasciando però le labbra ancora tinte di colore e soprattutto ancora confortevoli.
L'unica nota negativa per me è il profumo eccessivo del prodotto, una via di mezzo tra la crema solare e le bubble gum, che permane a lungo e non ha un buon sapore.
I colori proposti per questa limited edition sono in maggior parte piuttosto accesi e intensi, tra i rossi ed i fucsia c'è un solo nude rosa malva.

The Colossal Big Shot Volume Express Mascara is no exception, I really like how it separates the lashes, volumize and elongate them.
On the other side I'm not really into waterproof formulas, simply because they make my lashes really heavy and stiff, that's why I much more prefer the regular mascara, even though the waterproof formula works better for this hot steamy weather.
Devo dire che i mascara Maybelline sono sicuramente tra i miei preferiti, non solo per il loro prezzo conveniente, ma proprio per la loro performance.
Questo mascara mi è piaciuto moltissimo dalla prima applicazione, separa le ciglia le volumizza, ma soprattutto le distende e le allunga.
Non amo particolarmente le formule waterproof in generale, perchè di solito appesantiscono le ciglia e le rendono molto rigide e secche, quindi preferisco assolutamente la versione normale, anche se per questa stagione calda la waterproof è sicuramente più indicata.
