NYX STORE MILANO + HAUL

I spent one day in Milan to visit some exhibitions and of course I couldn't leave without stepping by one of the two new NYX store that just opened in the city, the one in Galleria Passarella 2.
NYX is a famous american brand, very well known for its huge cosmetic range and its affordable prices.
In Italy the products are slightly more expensive, but still a bargain.
The italian NYX invasion started in Milan and now will bring new stores in many others italian cities, so the only thing left to do is to hope your city will be next (finger crossed for Bologna)!

Sono stata a Milano per visitare alcune mostre e ovviamente ho colto l'occasione per visitare uno dei due nuovissimi store NYX che hanno aperto da poco proprio in città, quello inGalleria Passarella 2.

NYX è un brand americano famoso in tutto il mondo, conosciuto per offrire una vasta gamma di prodotti cosmetici ad un costo piuttosto contenuto.

Diciamo che in Italia il prezzo dei prodotti NYX è lievemente più alto rispetto a quello americano, ma rimane sicuramente molto vantaggioso.
La NYX Invasion partita da Milano porterà nuovi store in altre città italiane, quindi non resta che sperare di abitare in una di quelle fortunate (speriamo Bologna!).

Clearly I couldn't leave the store with no makeup, so I spent my train trip browsing every beauty blog to find out NYX must have.
Here's what I've got:

Chiaramente non potevo tornare a casa a mani vuote, quindi visto che non volevo comprare cose a caso, ho passato il viaggio in treno a spulciare blog e reviews per individuare i prodotti must have, e questi sono quelli che ho scelto:

NYX BUTTER GLOSS

Everybody raves about Butter Glosses, they are pigmented, they smell and taste of delicious cake and you can find them in every thinkable color.
I found two lip sets on sale (from € 16,50 to € 13) 
The first set includes:
- n. 09 Vanilla Cream Pie - light pink
- n. 01 Strawberry parfait - bright fuchsia
- n. 22 Devil's Food Cake - deep plum
The second one includes:
- n. 05 Creme Brulee - peachy pink
- n. 15 Angel Food Cake - dusty rose
- n. 17 Ginger Snap - brown
They are very creamy and a little bit tacky.
Their scent is so good that you would like to eat them all!
You can get a better color payoff by layering the product multiple times.
They feel very soft on the lips, but since they are glosses they don't last a long time and they need to be reapplied.  

I Butter Gloss probabilmente sono i gloss più famosi in assoluto, sono pigmentati, profumano di torta e sono disponibili in una vasta gamma di colori. 

Ho deciso di acquistare due set in saldo (da 16,50 a € 13) il primo contiene: 

- n. 09 Vanilla Cream Pie - rosa chiaro
- n. 01 Strawberry parfait - fuchsia acceso
- n. 22 Devil's Food Cake - prugna scuro

Il secondo: 

- n. 05 Creme Brulee - rosa pesca
- n. 15 Angel Food Cake - rosa antico
- n. 17 Ginger Snap - marrone

Hanno una consistenza molto cremosa, lievemente appiccicosa. 

Profumano di dolci e viene davvero voglia di mangiarli!  

Il colore si può  intensificare applicando più strati di prodotto, sono molto confortevoli sulle labbra, ma, essendo gloss, non durano tantissimo e vanno riapplicati. 

NYX INTENSE BUTTER GLOSS

I decided to try also a Butter Gloss Intense (€ 7,80), I picked up Spice Cake, which looks like a really dark plum, a classic wintery color.

It feels more like a liquid lipstick rather than a gloss, it's so pigmented and opaque and leaves the lips stained once it fades out.

Honestly I think there is some kind of mistake, they switched up the packaging, because it looks definitively a lot more like Black Cherry than Spice Cake.

The tester I swatched was much more lighter and mauvy than this one.

Ho deciso di provare anche un Butter Gloss Intense (€ 7,80), ho scelto Spice Cake, un prugna scurissimo, tipico colore invernale.

Più che un gloss sembra un rossetto liquido, è davvero molto pigmentato e coprente, una volta svanito lascia le labbra tinte. 

Onestamente ho il dubbio che ci sia stato un errore, uno scambio di nomi, perchè il colore è così scuro che sembra più Black Cherry che Spice Cake, in effetti il tester risultava molto molto più chiaro.

NYX JUMBO EYE PENCIL

These Jumbo pencils (€ 6,60) can be used both as a liner and as an eyeshadow base.
Milk is the most famous one, it's an opaque white that if applied on the lid can intensify the eyeshadow on top.
The other one I picked up is Rust, a dark rusty copper, such a pretty shade.
They are both very pigmented and blendable.

Questi matitoni (€ 6,60) possono essere usati sia come eye-liner che come base per l'ombretto. 

Sicuramente il più famoso è Milk, un bianco opaco che applicato come "primer" su tutta la palpebra permette di intensificare il colore dell'ombretto. 

L'altro che ho scelto è Rust,  un color rame scuro, ruggine, molto interessante.
Sono entrambi molto pigmentati e scriventi.

NYX BLUSH

Since I've been buying quite a lot of blushes I went for a shade that is perfect for fair skin contour, the NYX blush (€ 7,70) in Taupe.
I first found out about this product watching Nikkie Tutorials on YouTube, she uses this shade to contour her face so i decided to try it as well.
The only down side is that it's a little bit powdery, so don't dip your brush in it, but gently swipe to avoid wasting a ton of product.

Visto che ultimamente non ho fatto altro che acquistare dei blush ho deciso di optare per una tonalità perfetta per il contouring, il blush (€ 7,70) Taupe. 

Nikkie Tutorials lo usa da tantissimo tempo e ne parla benissimo, l'ho provato e lo trovo perfetto per realizzare un contouring delicato per chi ha luna carnagione chiara. 

Forse l'unica pecca è la sua polverosità, quindi bisogna evitare di affondarci il pennello per non sprecare troppo prodotto. 

Overall I really like the NYX makeup I got, and that's why I hope they will open a new store in my city soon!

I shared some cupcakes with my husband and they are so so good, our favorite is the pistacchio one, amazing!

SEPHORA SALES HAUL | MARC JACOBS, YSL, BENEFIT, LANCOME, URBAN DECAY, GIVENCHY

I must say, this time, Sephora Italia's website offered some pretty good makeup deals. 

I found a lot of high end brand on sale and that's why I jumped right in with no second thoughts.

Quest'anno il sito di Sephora in quanto a saldi si è davvero superato. Ho trovato moltissimi prodotti di "lusso" a prezzi incredibili e ovviamente mi sono scatenata.

SEPHORA EXPRESS NAIL POLISH REMOVER

I've already tested this express nail polish remover by Sephora's own brand, and I really like it. 

I'm the laziest person when it comes to take care of my nails, so this product makes it all simple and easy.

You stick you finger in it,turn a few time the bottle and the polish is gone in a few seconds.

The only issue I had was with glitter based nail polishes, and that's why I got also the specific one, I will update you on how it actually works (From € 9 to € 2,70/2,90).

Ho già utilizzato in passato questo solvente per unghie di Sephora e mi sono trovata molto bene. 

Adoro la praticità e la velocità con cui rimuove lo smalto, basta inserire il dito e girare la boccetta e in pochi attimi lo smalto è sparito.

Devo dire però che non funziona altrettanto bene con gli smalti con glitter, e proprio per questo ho deciso di provare il solvente specifico, vi farò sapere come mi trovo (prezzo originale € 9 prezzo in saldo € 2,70/2,90).

BENEFIT THEY'RE REAL MASCARA

This mascara needs no presentation, it's a Benefit best seller and this is a limited edition with Swarovski crystals.

I love They're Real, I have so many deluxe samples in my drawers, but I couldn't resist because the packaging is everything and the price was amazing (from € 27,50 to € 13,70)!

Sicuramente uno dei mascara più famosi e amati in commercio, questa edizione speciale lo vede decorato di cristalli Swarovski, un packaging davvero unico nel suo genere.

A me piace molto il mascara They're Real, ho infinite mini taglie nei cassetti, ma non ho saputo resistere ad un packaging così carino ad un prezzo così vantaggioso! (prezzo originale € 27,50 prezzo in saldo € 13,70).

LANCOME GRANDIOSE MASCARA 

This Lancome mascara was a true innovation due to its peculiar almost twisted wand.
I have the black one and at first I was skeptical, but then it quickly became one of my favorite.
It provides volume, it separates and elongate the lashes as well, it gives that WOW effect everybody wants.
This one is n. 06 Saphire Mirifique, can't wait to put it on, I love colored mascara to spice up a nude look and this electric blue is just gorgeous ( from € 32,50 to € 18,90).

Anche questo mascara di Lancome, con il suo peculiare scovolino che sembra quasi storto, è stata una vera innovazione. Sebbene all'inizio fossi scettica, ho deciso di provarlo nella sua versione classica nera e mi sono dovuta ricredere.

Regala davvero un effetto ciglia finte, la particolarità dello scovolino fa si che, se usato correttamente, si possano raggiungere tutte le ciglia volumizzandole ed allungandole per un risultato WOW.

Ho trovato in saldo lo stesso mascara nella versione n. 06 Saphire Mirifique, a me piacciono molto i mascara colorati, e questo blu quasi elettrico da quel tocco un po' particolare che mi piace sperimentare soprattutto con un trucco semplice (prezzo originale € 32,50 prezzo in saldo € 18,90).

URBAN DECAY SHEER REVOLUTION LIPSTICKS

I've already tried the original Revolution Lipsticks by Urban Decay and I really like them, they are very opaque and pigmented.

When the sheer lipsticks came out I was a little bit skeptical, I mean why would I pay for some transparent lipsticks? But then I was watching YouTube and I saw this review by Clio Makeup and I had to try them.

She was right, even though the texture is really soft and creamy they are really pigmented and lovely on the lips. 

I chose F-Bomb, bright red, and Anarchy a blue toned fuchsia, both intense and vibrant shades.

They are glossy and light but still full of color and they last pretty well too! (From € 20,90 to € 10,70).

Avevo già provato i Revolution Lipstick della Urban Decay e mi sono piaciuti moltissimo, super opachi e pigmentati.

Quando ho visto la nuova variante sheer ho storto un po' il naso, pensando "che senso ha pagare per un rossetto trasparente?" Poi dopo aver visto la review di Clio Makeup mi sono convinta e in effetti Clio aveva ragione!

Ho scelto F-Bomb, un rosso accesso, e Anarchy, un fuchsia dal sottotono freddo, entrambi i colori sono intensi e vibranti.

Per essere sheer sono davvero pigmentati, morbidissimi sulle labbra, ma allo stesso tempo davvero resistenti!

La durata è ottima e sono perfetti per chi vuole le labbra idratate, ma senza rinunciare al colore (prezzo originale € 20,90 prezzo in saldo € 10,70).

YSL VERNIS A LEVRES POP WATER

YSL Rouge pur Couture Vernis a Levres are definitively one of my favorite lips product, I even wore one shade on my wedding day!
This Pop Water version came out last summer, the formula promises long lasting colors combined with hydration and even a plumping effect thanks to ialuronic acid.
This is n. 201 Dewy Red a glossy pinky red perfect for spring/summer (from € 30,50 to € 17,70).


Anche in questo caso si tratta di un prodotto che adoro e che uso già da tempo.

Le lacche di YSL sono tra i miei prodotti labbra preferiti, li ho persino usati per il mio matrimonio!

In questo caso si tratta della variante Pop Water uscita la scorsa estate, che garantisce molte ore di idratazione ed anche un effetto volumizzante grazie all'acido ialuronico presente all'interno, senza ovviamente rinunciare al colore.
Questo è il n. 201 Dewy Red, un rosa-rosso super lucido perfetto per la primavera/estate (prezzo originale € 30,50 prezzo in saldo € 17,70).

GIVENCHY BLUSH MEMOIRE DE FORME

This Givenchy n. 02 Rose Delicat blush has a unique texture, feels like a gel that when applied on your cheecks gives that perfect rosy healthy flush, but you can also layer the product multiple times to intensify the result.
It makes you achieve effortlessly that bonne mine effect which is so in trend right now (from € 36,90 to € 19,70).

Un blush dalla consistenza unica, una texture tra il gel ed il liquido che una volta applicata regala alle guance un lieve tocco di colore che può essere intensificato stratificando il prodotto.

Il colore n. 02 Rose Delicat, come dice il nome stesso, è un rosa tenue che dona all'incarnato quell'effetto bonne mine tanto ricercato dai makeup artists (prezzo originale € 36,90  prezzo in saldo € 19,70).

MARC JACOBS

I've already put Marc Jacobs eyeshadows to the test (you can find my review here) and I love them, so when I spotted these two blushes on sale I imediately got them!
Both amazing texture and colors, the first one, Tantalizing, is a dark berry which is Ideal for winter and the other one, Promiscuos, is more of a peachy summery tone, so beautiful.
As you can see from the swatches theay are very pigmented and blend like a dream, the texture is soft and buttery, a little bit goes a long way (from € 33,50 to € 19,70).

Anche di Marc Jacobs ho provato molti prodotti, in particolare adoro gli ombretti (trovate le review qui), sono incredibilmente pigmentati e sfumabili.

Quando ho visto questi due blush in offerta non me li sono lasciata scappare, sono
due colori praticamente opposti, il primo, Tantalizing, è un lampone scuro quasi prugna, da applicare prelevando poco prodotto e sfumando bene, il secondo, Promiscuos, un rosa tenue pescato forse più primaverile/estivo.
La texture di entrambi è setosa e si sfumano facilmente (prezzo originale € 33,50 prezzo in saldo € 19,70).

I'm so happy with all my purchases, I saved so much money on amazing quality products which makes me very satisfied!

HM BEAUTY

Recently H&M totally revamped its beauty collection.
We may actually use the word revolution, because honestly before this dramatic change the beauty line was a bunch of really budget friendly random products that didn't really appeal to me in any possible way.
This transformation really intrigued me, so I started doing some research online and I found out some interesting reviews.
I decided to finally try something and since I was in Rome, I went to the biggest H&M that had the beauty line in store and got a few pieces.

Recentemente H&M ha completamente rivoluzionato la sua linea beauty.

Prima di questa totale rivoluzione la linea originale comprendeva una serie di prodotti super economici, tra cui smalti, gloss e palette di ombretti che onestamente non mi hanno mai ispirato particolare fiducia.

Quindi questa trasformazione mi ha davvero incuriosito, così ho iniziato a fare le mie ricerche online e ho trovato alcune review interessanti.

Ho deciso di provare anche io qualche prodotto, così visto che ero a Roma ho potuto guardare tutta la collezione da vicino.

I decided to try two blushes, two eyeshadows and a lipstick.

Let's get into details then.

I went for powder blushes, even though there were some cream ones as well, because I prefer them for my skin type (combination to oily).

The first one (Golden Peach $ 9,99) really reminds me of NARS Orgasm, it's a peachy blush with gold shimmers in it, it's very glowy, but I like the fact you don't see chunky glitters, it's a soft golden shimmer that looks very nice.

The second one (Tango Pink $ 9,99) it's a darker pink, with a hint of berry, very intense and bright.

Both are very pigmented and blend easily.

The packaging it's light and plasticky, no mirror or applicator inside, but I find it really cute anyway, simple and neat.

Ho scelto di provare i blush in polvere, due ombretti e un rossetto, ma vediamoli nel dettaglio.

Partiamo dai blush, la linea comprende sia blush in polvere che in crema, io preferisco quelli in polvere quindi ne ho scelti due.

Il primo (Golden Peach € 7,99) mi ricorda molto il famosissimo NARS Orgasm, è un pesca dai riflessi dorati, molto luminoso ma non eccessivo.

Il secondo (Tango Pink € 7,99) è un rosa più scuro, molto intenso.

Entrambi sono molto pigmentati e si sfumano facilmente.

Il packaging, pur essendo di plastica e non avendo uno specchio all'interno, mi piace molto, semplice ma d'effetto.

H&M new beauty line includes a few eyeshadows palettes and a various range of mono eyeshadows.

Even though the palette were really inexpensive, I went for the mono eyeshadows, reason being n. 1 I don't know how many eyeshadows palettes I have and n. 2 more important the quality of the shadows felt really different.

I tend to gravitate towards the same colors, and this time was no exception I guess.

I went for a shiny champagne pink (Paradise Lost $ 6,99), the type of color that I put all over the lid to brighten up the eye.

The second one it's an antique gold (Sharp As Mustard), it immediately caught my attention.

They are both very pigmented and smooth. The gold packaging is cute and I like the fact it allows you to see the eyeshadow color.

Oltre agli ombretti singoli ci sono varie palette davvero super economiche, tuttavia ho preferito acquistare degli ombretti mono visto che dopo aver swatchato entrambe le tipologie questi ultimi mi sembrano notevolmente migliori.

Non so se capiti anche a voi, ma io tendo a scegliere sempre gli stessi colori o comunque colori molto simili.

In questo caso infatti ho scelto uno champagne rosato super brillante (Paradise Lost € 5,99), un colore che non manca mai nella mia collezione perchè lo uso spessissimo su tutta la palpebra per illuminare lo sguardo.

il secondo colore è più particolare (Sharp As Mustard), è un oro antico satinato quasi un ocra, davvero interessante. 

Entrambi sono super pigmentati e setosi, il packaging dorato lascia intravedere il colore della cialda quindi oltre ad essere carino è molto pratico.

Last product I picked up is a lipstick, I chose this berry shade which is very nice (Last Tango $ 9,99).

It has a glossy finish and a very creamy texture.

It feels lovely on the lips but its consistency makes it glide even too much if it's possible, I feel like it will smudge all around my face as soon as I eat or drink something, it's not the type of lipstick I would wear to dinner.

It's really opaque though and gives that plump lips effect which is always a bonus.

L'ultimo pezzo che ho acquistato è un rossetto cremoso, ho scelto una tonalità lampone molto bella dal finish lucido (Last Tango € 9,99).

E' davvero confortevole sulle labbra, tuttavia la texture risulta quasi troppo cremosa, tende a "muoversi" facilmente, diciamo che non è un rossetto da indossare per andare a cena fuori.

E' comunque coprente e regala quell'effetto labbra piene che è sempre un plus.

Overall I really liked the products I've tried, I was actually really impressed by their pigmentation and quality, so far away from the original H&M beauty line.

I must say that the price point is not super cheap, it's in the same range of most of the drugstore brands (at least here in Italy), but the quality seems nice and not overpriced.

I'm really curious to try more products.

Nel complesso i prodotti che ho provato mi sono piaciuti molto, sono rimasta colpita dalla pigmentazione e dalla qualità che sembra davvero notevole, molto distante da quello che era la prima linea beauty di H&M.

Bisogna dire che non è proprio tra le più economiche in commercio, in quanto come prezzi siamo nello stesso range di moltissime case cosmetiche (come L'Oreal, Maybelline, Revlon, Kiko), ma il rapporto qualità prezzo mi sembra buono.

Sono curiosa di provare altri prodotti.

BLACK FRIDAY HAUL | CHANEL

This is my first 2016 post and first of all Happy New Year! 

I'm still talking about Black Friday deals, this time I found a nice discount on a beauty brand that usually never goes on sale, I'm talking about Chanel.

I was ipnotized by the Rouge Noir Absolument Holiday 2015 collection by Chanel, not so much by the eyeshadow quad or the lipstick, which seemed not so pigmented, but the nail polishes and the cream eyeshadow.

The Rouge Noir nail polishes collection consist of two polishes: n. 757 Rose Fusion, which is a shiny silver with a purple undertone and n. 18 Rouge Noir, a dark reddish plum with black undertones, and a Top Coat Lamé Rouge Noir, full of gold sparkles.

All of them are simply gorgeous, both polishes are really opaque and the top coat, which at first I wasn't really sure about, turned out to be amazing.

I put it on top of the Rouge Noir and the result was beautiful.

Primo post del 2016 e quindi prima di iniziare Buon Anno!

Siamo sempre in tema di saldi, in questo caso si tratta ancora degli acquisti fatti durante il black friday.

Sono passata casualmente da Coin dove ho trovato ad aspettarmi il 20% di sconto su tutta la profumeria e su marchi che non vanno quasi mai in saldo.

Sono rimasta ipnotizzata dalla collezione Rouge Noir Absolument Holiday 2015 di Chanel, non tanto dalla palette di ombretti e dal rossetto, che swatchando sembravano poco pigmentati, ma dagli smalti e dall'ombretto in crema.

La collezione consiste appunto in due smalti n. 757 Rose Fusion, un argento viola metallico e n. 18 Rouge Noir, un bordeaux che tende al nero, e in un top coat Lamé Rouge Noir, pieno di pagliuzze dorate.

Sono semplicemente stupendi, i due smalti sono coprenti e resistenti e il top coat, sul quale avevo qualche dubbio iniziale, è superlativo, ogni passata è piena di glitter dorati ed il risultato è bellissimo.

This is not my first Illusion D'Ombre, I've already tried out a few and felt in love with them.
It's basically the easiest way to pull off a nice look with minimum effort, one swipe and you're good to go.
The texture is very creamy at first, but then when you apply it it actually sets like powder.
They last for a long time without smudging and they don't fade into eyelids' fine lines.
This n. 857 Rouge Noir is a very peculiar color, a mixture of dark red, maroon and black wit purple and gold shimmer, it was love a first sight.

In passato ho già acquistato degli ombretti in crema Chanel Illusion d'Ombre e me ne sono innamorata.

E' sicuramente il modo più semplice per ottenere un look d'effetto in pochissimo tempo, una passata e via, il trucco occhi è fatto.

La consistenza è cremosa, ma una volta applicati sembrano trasformarsi in polvere, la durata è ottima e non vanno a finire nelle pieghette/rughette delle palpebre.

Questo è il n. 857 Rouge Noir, un misto tra rosso scuro, marrone e nero con riflessi oro e viola, un colore davvero particolare che definirei intenso e misterioso, quando si dice amore a prima vista.
