I wanted to try more Clio Makeup products since forever so I placed not just 1 but 2 orders on her website.
I've already posted on this blog about her lipsticks and I also visited her first pop up store in Milan (here you can find that post). This time I definitively went overboard and got makeup and skincare.
Let's unbox everything!
First things first shipping was very fast and everything arrived in perfect conditions, a good start for sure.
The product I wanted to try the most was the concealer, because I read everywhere that it's amazing and of course I had to test it myself. Honestly I struggle when it comes to buy face products online, because I always pick up the wrong shade, but a friend who has a fair complection as mine suggested me shade n. 03, so I went for that one.

Ormai era da tempo che volevo provare altri prodotti di Clio Makeup, così ho fatto non 1 ma ben 2 ordini sul suo sito! Tempo fa vi avevo parlato dei suoi rossetti e mi ero trovata molto bene, avevo anche visitato il suo primo temporary store in Milano (trovate il post qui).
Questa volta mi sono lanciata e ho acquistato sia prodotti di skincare che trucchi.
Ma andiamo con ordine e spacchettiamo.
Intanto la spedizione è arrivata in pochissimi giorni e tutto era in perfette condizioni, quindi partiamo bene.
Il prodotto che mi incuriosiva di più era sicuramente il correttore, ne ho sentito parlare benissimo, ma volevo testare in prima persona. Solitamente non acquisto mai online prodotti come fondotinta e correttore, perchè ho bisogno di vedere le tonalità dal vivo, in questo caso per fortuna una mia amica con la carnagione chiara come la mia aveva acquistato la shade n. 03 quindi ho deciso di provare quella.

Shade n. 03 turned out to be just perfect, it's the same shade that Clio wears and she seems to have fair skin just like mine. The concealer texture it's very creamy, a little goes a long way and you have to blend it quite quickly because it sets fast.
I used it a few times already and I'm really impressed. I would define the coverage as medium, but you can easily apply more layers to intensify the result and it doesn't get caky at all. I didn't set it with a powder and it didn't set in the fine lines. It's long lasting and brightening. Absolutely passed with full marks!
Ho scelto la shade n. 3 (quella usata proprio da Clio), ho una carnagione molto chiara con un sottotono (almeno a mio parere) tendente al giallo e questa tonalità mi è sembrata perfetta.
La consistenza è cremosa e basta poco prodotto che va lavorato piuttosto velocemente perchè tende a settarsi velocemente.
L'ho usato molte volte, ma già sin dalla prima volta mi ha veramente stupito. Ha una coprenza media, ma è facilmente stratificabile senza risultare pesante. Non ho utilizzato una cipria per fissarlo e non è finito nelle pieghette. Ottima durata ed effetto sicuramente luminoso.

When it comes to eyeliner pencils I consider myself quite the expert. Having hooded eyes and oily eyelids really made me understand what works for me and what doesn't.
I got 2 shades, Choco, cool dark brown and Brandy, warm brown with a hint of red, such a peculiar shade this last one. Both performed really well, very soft and pigmented but after wearing them for hours they didn't smudge and I had no issues with them at all (I have very sensitive eyes). Very happy with them as well.
Quando si parla di matite occhi mi sento una vera esperta, principalmente perchè avendo una palpebra oleosa e soprattuto gli "hooded eyes", ho le idee chiarissime su cosa funziona per me.
Ho scelto le tonalità Choco, un marrone scuro freddo, e Brandy un marrone caldo con una punta di rosso, un colore davvero interessante.
Entrambe le matite sono morbide, burrose e super pigmentate. Dopo averle provate entrambe per diverse ore, non ho riscontrato sbavature e nemmeno fastidi agli occhi )i miei sono molto sensibili).
Anche in questo caso sono rimasta positivamente sorpresa.
I have been following Clio on You Tube for ages and I remember her using the Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eyeshadows and loving them, so seeing her version of a cream eyeshadow just make sense to me. The texture is quite peculiar, it has a jelly, creamy, almost wet consistency. It's very light but pigmented at the same time, a little goes a long way and it's easy to blend (I only used my fingers to apply it).
My absolutely favorite perk of this product is that id doesn't settle in the fine lines, not even after a few hours.
Seguendo Clio da tanti anni, mi ricordo perfettamente la sua passione per i Color Tattoo di Maybelline, gli ombretti cremosi che erano un must have del brand, quindi so benissimo quanto ami questo tipo di prodotto e non mi stupisce che abbia voluto creare una sua versione. La texture è molto particolare. una via di mezzo tra crema, liquido e gel. E' molto sottile, ma allo stesso tempo molto pigmentato, ne basta poco e si sfuma facilmente. L'aspetto che più mi ha convinto è che non accentua le pieghe delle palpebre, nemmeno dopo alcune ore.
Lately I have been into more brownish blushes, they just seem to me more natural than the classic pink. This blush has the perfect shade that warms up your complection giving the impression of a naural flush on the cheecks. I prefer to pick up just a little bit of product and if I want a more intense look I just layer more blush. It's pigmented and easy to blend.
Ultimamente mi piacciono i blush che virano al marroncino, mi sembrano più naturali del classico rosa. Questo blush ha proprio quella tonalità che scalda l'incarnato senza risultare eccessivo. Io ne prelevo poco e preferisco al massimo stratificare il prodotto successivamente nel caso voglia ottenere un effetto più intenso. E' pigmentato e si sfuma molto bene.
Highlighters trend lately has quite shifted from being visible from the outer space, to something more natural. We hear a lot more things like "glow from within" and "glass skin", that basically stands for a more subdued highlighter than melts into the skin for a healthy glow.
Generally speaking, highlighters tend to make the skin texture more evident, but I do use them regularly. At the end of the day we are just humans and we need to normalize imperfections.
This highlighter does the job, it's bright but not in your face, it doesn't leave a cast and it blends well into the skin. The only downside I can think of it's that it's quite powdery, but personally I don't mind.
Direi che, per quanto riguarda gli illuminanti, il trend è decisamente cambiato negli ultimi tempi. Se qualche hanno fa non risultavi visibile dallo spazio sicuramente non avevi l'illuminante giusto, ma ultimamente si sente parlare molto di più di "glow from within" e di "glass skin". Parafrasando in sostanza si preferisce un illuminante che non sia un pugno in un occhio, ma che si fonda con la pelle e che le doni una luminosità più naturale.
In generale gli illuminanti tendono ad evidenziare la grana della pelle, ma io li uso comunque, alla fine siamo esseri umani, normalizziamo le imperfezioni.
Questo illuminante fa il suo lavoro, è evidente, ma non esagerato, non lascia aloni e si sfuma facilmente. L'unico aspetto da puntualizzare è che è molto polveroso, a me personalmente non da fastidio.
I was really curious about this hybrid formula in between a lip balm and a creamy lipstick, I'm into hydrated and plumpy lips so this should be the product for me! I wasn't expecting this pigmentation though! As you cans e from the swatch (Coccolove is the one on the left) it's not sheer at all and it also last a while, what a nice surprise!
Questa formula mi interessava tantissimo, una via di mezzo tra un balsamo labbra ed un rossetto fa sempre al caso mio, visto che apprezzo le labbra belle idratate.
Mi aspettavo che fosse molto meno pigmentato, invece, come si vede dallo swatch (il Coccolove è a sinistra) è proprio coprente ed ha una buona tenuta. Proprio una piacevole sorpresa.
This little pot contains a leave on lip mask to get hydrated and plumped lips. I tried it and wore it over night. The texture is very light and my lips did feel quite hydrated, but I do prefer lip balms with a creamier consistency, like the Fresh ones for instance.
Questa piccola giara di vetro contiene una maschera labbra da lasciare in posa per ottenere labbra idratate e rimpolpate. Io l'ho provata lasciandola in posa tutta la notte. La consistenza è molto leggera, le mie labbra mi sono sembrate idratate, ma in tutta onestà preferisco altri tipi di balsami labbra più corposi, come ad esempio quelli della Fresh.
KIT DOPPIA DETERSIONE (€ 35)
Wondermousse it's an orange citrucy foamy cleanser. When you apply it the foam gets more creamy and soft and it's very nice on the skin. I wouldn't use it for removing a heavy duty makeup look, especially not for mascara, but it's a nice cleanser.
Superstrucco it's a balm to oil makeup remover, if you ever used the Clinique Take the day off balm you know what I'm talking about. It has a cute little spatula to pick up the product, a little goes a long way and it removes even the most intense makeup. It has the same citrucy scent as the Wondermousse and it does its job perfectly.
Wondermousse è appunto una mousse detergente dal colore arancione e dal profumo agrumato. La mousse una volta applicata sul viso cambia e diventa di una consistenza cremosa e setosa molto piacevole sulla pelle. Non penso sia adatta per rimuovere il trucco occhi (sopratttutto il mascara), ma perfetta per un trucco leggero.
Superstrucco è un balsamo struccante che rimuove anche il makeup più intenso, mascara compreso. Se avete provato il Take the day off di Clinique sapete esattamente di cosa sto parlando.
C'è una spatolina per prelevare il prodotto, ne basta poco per sciogliere tutto il trucco che avete applicato. Ha una profumazione agrumata piacevole e fa bene il suo lavoro, sicuramente promosso.

When your basket reaches a certain amount you get some freebies, when you reach 60€ you get a Baby Darklove mascara, when you hit 80€ a MLBB Creamylove lipstick (this gift doesn't seem available at the moment) and when you reach 100€ a Alldaylove eye pencil. Since I wanted to get quite a few things I split my order in 2, so i could get more freebies (just to be clear, when you reach a 100€ you only get the eye pencil not the others).
Raggiungendo determinati livelli di spesa si possono ottenere dei prodotti in omaggio, con 60€ il Baby Darklove, con 80€ un rossetto Creamylove nella shade MLBB (questa soglia al momento non mi sembra attiva) e con 100€ una matita Alldaylove. Per questo ho effettuato due ordini distinti per poter avere due prodotti bonus, visto che non si cumulano (per capirci se spendete 100€ ricevete solo il prodotto di questa soglia e non i precedenti).
This mascara is really good, super intense and volumizing. The travel size is always handy. If I have to point out any slightly negative aspect it would be that since the wand is quite chunky the product can easily go everywhere when you apply it. Just be extra careful during the application. The travel size is 8€.
Questo mascara è ottimo, super intenso e volumizza le ciglia a dovere. La travel size è comodissima. L'unico neo, se se ne deve trovare proprio uno, è che avendo lo scovolino piuttosto grosso è facile sporcarsi tutta la palpebra. Per applicarlo conviene fare attenzione. Se la volete acquistare la mini size costa 8€.
Creamylove are, as you can tell by the name, creamy lipsticks. This shade is a pink mauve with a hint of red (it's the swatch on the right). It's described as a nude, but due to my fair complexion it's quite dark on my lips. It's very opaque with just one swipe, comfortable on the lips. Since it's creamy it won't last forever but it's quite long lasting.
It's sold for 12,50€.

A few words to sum this huge haul. I appreciated the fast shipping and the attention put into the packaging, most of the material is recyclabe. The quality of these products is undeniably very good at a right price point. It would be nice to be able to phisically see these products in a shop, buying online is always quite hazardy even though there are plenty of pictures, it's always easier testing colors in real life. Overall I think the makeup line is inclusive, except for the concelear range that I hope will be increased soon, because they are amazing.

Tiriamo un po' le somme di questo haul bello corposo. Ho apprezzato la spedizione veloce e l'attenzione al packaging, costituito da materiali per la maggior parte riciclabili. La qualità dei prodotti è evidente ed il prezzo in linea con il mercato. Sarebbe bello un giorno poter trovare questi prodotti in negozi fisici, perchè acquistare online rimane sempre un'incognita e nonostante tutte le possibili foto, non è facile scegliere senza testare sul proprio incarnato. Nel complesso trovo che l'intera linea sia piuttosto inclusiva, fatta eccezione per i correttori di cui spero amplieranno la gamma cromatica a breve perchè sono davvero pazzeschi.
